Will Mark Andrews Be Ready By Week 1? Andrew Ball provides an injury update and fantasy football outlook on Andrews.
For several years now, Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce has been the grand prize at tight end for fantasy managers. Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews has been one heck of a consolation prize.
Over the last four seasons, Andrews finished fifth, sixth, first, and fourth in PPR scoring at the position. His 12.7 fantasy points per game was a disappointment for those who spent a top draft pick on Lamar Jackson's favorite target, largely because he started the season in dominant fashion (19.1 points per game over his first six weeks).
A knee issue forced the All-Pro to miss the Ravens' Week 9 contest against New Orleans and he was not the same player when he returned to the lineup. So, panic fills fans and fantasy managers when the tight end misses consecutive practices.

Mark Andrews Injury Update For Fantasy Football
Missing practices with less than two weeks until the first game is a bit concerning, especially when coach John Harbaugh says Andrews is "dealing with something that we're kind of working through right now." Fear not, because Harbaugh put some of those concerns to rest on Monday.
As long as he logs practice reps next week, consider Andrews locked and loaded as a TE1 option for fantasy managers. If he's not ready, backup Isaiah Likely will be in play as a starting option.
Mark Andrews 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook
Mark Andrews will lead what may be the strongest receiving group that Lamar Jackson has ever had in his professional career. Odell Beckham Jr., Rashod Bateman, and rookie first-round pick Zay Flowers will help draw the defense away from number 89. Couple that with what projects to be a faster tempo under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken, and there's a lot to be excited about when it comes to the Baltimore offense.
It's hard to imagine that Andrews will replicate his All-Pro season from 2021 (107 catches for 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns). It's also very much in the realm of possibilities that he makes an improvement on his 2022 stat line (73/847/5). The health of both Andrews and Lamar Jackson will be critical for where Andrews finishes in the position rankings at the end of the season.
