Cole Kmet Returns To Practice Thursday
Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet (undisclosed) left Wednesday's practice early but is already back on the field for Thursday's session. The Notre Dame alum recently signed a four-year, $50 million extension with $32 million guaranteed after leading the team in receptions (50), receiving yards (544), and receiving touchdowns (seven). In 2023, he could be a sneaky contender to finish as a high-end TE1 if Justin Fields develops as a passer and the Bears' offense ascends. However, Kmet is usually available after the first dozen tight ends are selected in preseason fantasy drafts, so he's viewed as a high-end TE2 for now.
