Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby has always been effective at rushing opposing passers. He hasn't always been effective at turning his pressures into sacks. But he is getting better and has room to continue making progress in 2023. In 2021, Crosby led the league with a total of 101 combined sacks, hits, and hurries. But of those pressures, only ten of them resulted in either a solo sack or an assisted sack (half a sack). Most of the top edge rushers have a sack-to-pressure rate of over 20%. In 2022, Crosby increased his official sack total from 8.0 to 12.5 despite having 20 fewer pressures. He increased his sack conversion rate to 18.5%. If Crosby could replicate T.J. Watt's career sack rate (24%) or even just up jump 1.5 points to 20.0%, he could be in contention for the league lead.--Mitchell BlattRead More News
