DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/11/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

gleyber torres fantasy baseball rankings draft sleepers shortstop MLB injury news

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on May 11, 2023. Mike's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a perfect split in our small six-game MLB day. There are three afternoon games and three games in the normal primetime window. Thankfully, DraftKings didn't do normal DraftKings things and chop this slate up even more. This is going to be tougher after having our busiest Thursday slate of the year last week. Oh well, we deal with what we have! Let's go diving!

This article contains my picks for the three-game main slate on Thursday, May 11, 2023, for both DraftKings and FanDuel, which locks at 7:05 PM ET.

The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Nathan Eovaldi, TEX at OAK ($9,500 DK, $11,100 FD)

It's a small slate, but it's hard to argue that we don't have an ace on this slate. Eovaldi has been solid all season, but he has bordered on dominance in his last two starts against the Angels and Yankees. He pitched a three-hit shutout against the Yankees while striking out eight and blanked the halos through eight while striking out five. Now put him in a cavernous ballpark, a park where he has a career 2.93 ERA through five starts, and we have a certified ace. Are you still not convinced? Peep these stats for the current A's against Eovaldi.

Small sample size...blah, blah, blah. Dominance is dominance. Three hits in 29 at-bats is something to write home about. So is the inflated 37.9% K%. Everything about that chart screams success for Eovaldi. Don't get cute on FD. You need him to finish near the top. Get different with bats.

Alex Cobb, SF at ARI ($8,700 DK, $8,700 FD)

Cobb has been off the charts so far this year, posting a 2.01 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 40.1 innings. The win/loss record doesn't tell the whole story. He's a ground ball master, which leads to him limiting damage. He doesn't have great career numbers against Arizona, but I'll side with Cobb's outstanding start to 2023.

Others to consider: Drew Rasmussen ($9,200 DK, $10,300 FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Yandy Diaz - 1B, TB at NYY ($5,100 DK, $3,900 FD)

We're going to be hit by small-slate pricing on this one. Don't sweat it too much, it's all relative. Yandy is averaging the most points at 1B on this slate, so he should be expensive, right? His 6-for-17 career mark with two doubles and a homer off of Domingo German don't hurt either. Yandy is also riding a modest eight-game hitting streak. Take the plunge! You could do worse.

Gleyber Torres - 2B, NYY vs. TB ($4,800 DK, $3,200 FD)

Torres has a modest six-game hitting streak, but in that span, he has scored six runs, homered twice, and driven in seven. He even tacked on three doubles for good measure. Three of those games were against this same Rays team in Tampa. Now, he has the benefit of a better hitting park. The Yankees' offense has come to life lately with the return of Aaron Judge. Judge himself hasn't done a whole lot, but Torres certainly has.

J.D. Davis - 3B, SF at ARI ($4,100 DK, $3,100 FD)

Davis continues to mash lefties (.342, seven homers, 19 RBI in 76 at-bats), so there's no reason not to use him. He's relatively cheap compared to the other pricing on this slate. He not only gets a lefty, but a lefty that hasn't been all that sharp this year. Henry likely won't get blown up, but I'm going to bet Davis's total bases prop bet as well. He's almost a lock for a hit at this point with a lefty on the mound.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Aaron Judge - OF, NYY vs. TB ($6,100 DK, $4,000 FD)

I like Judge more on FD. I probably won't be able to afford him on DK since I can't really punt pitcher and Judge isn't a huge priority. We know that he can go off at any time. Judge is 3-for-7 with two walks, three runs scored, and two RBI in the two games since his return. So even though he hasn't homered, Judge is still scoring us some fantasy points.

Harrison Bader - OF, NYY vs. TB ($4,000 DK, $3,300 FD)

Not only is Bader riding a six-game hitting streak, but he has multi-hit games in half of those and has scored in double figures in every single one of those games. I don't care if Bader was facing Cy Young himself. There's no reason not to use him at this price right now. Ride him until he cools off!

JJ Bleday - OF, OAK vs. TEX ($2,800 DK, $2,700 FD)

It's not often that you can catch a guy on a seven-game hitting streak for this price. I'm definitely riding Eovaldi, but this is a three-game slate. We don't have a ton of options for hitters, especially ones that are currently on hot streaks. It may seem counterintuitive, but running Bleday and Eovaldi isn't the worst idea. There is a path for both of them to have success.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

San Francisco Giants vs. Tommy Henry

I am on record saying that I don't think Henry gets blown up, but that bullpen behind him might. The Giants hit lefties well. It starts with J.D. Davis, but Thairo Estrada, Wilmer Flores, and Austin Slater hit lefties, too. Mitch Haniger has in his career, but he has yet to really get going with the Giants. I would stick to righties in this stack. Aside from Estrada, all of them are affordable.

Also consider: Texas Rangers vs. whatever Oakland throws out there
