Florida Panthers goaltender Alex Lyon stopped 56-of-58 shots on goal to set a franchise record for saves in a regulation game in Thursday's 7-2 victory against the Senators. Lyon continued his impressive run as he earned his fifth consecutive victory to keep the Panthers in the mix for the top wild card spot in the Eastern Conference, while the 56 saves surpassed the regulation record of 53 set by Craig Anderson on March 2, 2008. Lyon's 56-save performance ranks second all-time in Panthers history, with the record of 57 saves being held by Hall of Fame goaltender Roberto Luongo. Lyon will continue to start for the Panthers as they have three games remaining on the schedule, with meetings against the Capitals, Maple Leafs and Hurricanes to close out the regular season.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
