Oscar Colas Makes Opening Day Roster
Oscar Colas will make the Opening Day roster. Colas, 24, beat out Leury Garcia and Gavin Sheets for the right field job with a .267 batting average to go along with three homers and six RBI. Colas was signed out of Cuba prior to last season and worked his way up from High-A to Triple-A in his first professional year. Between all three levels he hit a combined .314 with 23 homers and 79 RBI. Colas isn't a threat on the basepaths and his average is unlikely to as high in the big leagues, but he should be a good source of power with plenty of upside. Managers in redraft leagues should consider Colas as a third or fourth outfield with plus potential and he should already be rostered in dynasty leagues.
