On Monday, Anton Malmstrom, an NCAA free agent, was officially signed by the St. Louis Blues. The Swedish defenseman agreed to a two-year, entry-level contract valued at $1.9 million, with an annual salary of $910,000 in the NHL and $82,500 in the American Hockey League. Malmstrom played for Bowling Green for the past three seasons and recorded three goals and three assists in 33 games this year. He will now join the Blues' AHL affiliate in Springfield immediately.--Andrew Lennox
