Washington Capitals left wing Carl Hagelin has been ruled out indefinitely after undergoing left hip resurfacing surgery on Monday. He also had hip surgery in October and hasn't played a single minute this season. The newest procedure puts Hagelin's NHL career in doubt, as he's set to become an unrestricted free agent and will be 35 by the time next season rolls around. It's also unclear when Hagelin can begin hockey activities again. The Swedish winger, who won the Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh in 2016 and 2017, has been with Washington since February 2019. He has notched 66 points in 187 games with the team and has managed 110 goals and 186 assists in 713 games for his whole career.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
