Scottie Scheffler comes into the first event of 2023 off a successful fall swing where he recorded two top-10 finishes in three starts. Scheffler, the reigning Masters champion, will be making his second start at Kapalua, he finished 13th in 2021. However, with the absence of Rory McIlroy, Scheffler will be the most expensive player in the field in most, if not all, contests. However, in a field of PGA Tour winners, better value can be found than spending big salary on Scheffler. If Scheffler is already locked in the lineup, his approach numbers from the fall swing are encouraging towards his success this week. However, Scheffler would need a top-three finish to pay off his DFS salary this week.--Kasey Kuhrts - RotoBaller
