Below you'll find the top NFL prospects playing in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, which will be played on 12/21/2022 at 9:00 p.m. ET. And remember: in a landscape where top players sit out bowls more than ever, there's always a chance that a player mentioned doesn't play.

Austin Reed - QB - Western Kentucky

Austin Reed was in the transfer portal at one point, but he decided to return to Western Kentucky.

Reed threw for 4,247 yards and 36 touchdowns in 2022, and it looks like he'll have one more season at the helm of the high-powered WKU offense. Is he the next Bailey Zappe, who parlayed his role at QB in 2021 for the Hilltoppers into a gig with the New England Patriots? Time will tell. What we do know is that Reed's a fun passer to watch.

Jaylen Hall - WR - Western Kentucky

In his first season with the Hilltoppers, Hall caught 59 passes for 731 yards and five touchdowns.

Hall spent most of his college career at Western Michigan before coming to the Hilltoppers this season. The 6-3 wideout has intriguing size and has made some big plays at times for WKU. He could wind up as an UDFA in camp.

Darrell Luter - CB - South Alabama

Darrell Luter is probably the one guy you should really, really keep an eye on in this one. The Jaguars defense back has some real intrigue.

Luter had just one interception this season, but he also just wasn't getting thrown to a ton, probably because he picked off four passes the year before. The 6-0 corner has long arms and can go out and disrupt passes. There's been chatter from people such as Senior Bowl director Jim Nagy that Luter is a potential Day 3 pick.

Arguably the most interesting G5 defensive back in the 2023 NFL Draft class, keep an eye on him when South Alabama's on defense in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on Wednesday night.
