Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 15: Top Free Agent Adds Include Donovan Peoples-Jones, D.J. Chark, Chris Moore, Richie James

Chris Moore - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Justin Carter's fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 15 of the 2022 NFL season. His free agent WRs to add, stream and stash off waivers.

I've been re-watching The League for the first time in at least five years. It's a fun show, even if a lot of the things about how they play fantasy football are a little outdated. I'm not sure why I decided to start with that anecdote—it sounded more personal than just saying "the fantasy playoffs have arrived," which was my original lede. Anyway, it's fantasy playoff time. Let's get you some receivers to win you a 'ship.

Below, you'll find some wide receivers that you should be targeting on the fantasy football waiver wire ahead of Week 15. Not all of these waiver wire options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Be sure to also check out our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 15 for help at all the skill positions. All players on this list here are around 50% rostered or below.

Wide Receivers Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns - 58% rostered

There was still a lot wrong with Deshaun Watson this week, but he took a step up from his poor showing in his Browns debut, throwing for 276 yards. Peoples-Jones was his top option, as he looked DPJ's way 12 times, with the wideout catching eight passes for 114 yards. With Amari Cooper struggling, Peoples-Jones looks like he could post some really strong numbers down the stretch. He's been a solid receiver play all year, but Watson gives him a higher ceiling. He's a WR3/4 play.

Zay Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars - 51% rostered

Tight end Evan Engram gets the headlines in this one with his two touchdowns, but Zay Jones had a good game of his own. He was targeted 12 times, pulling down eight of those for 77 yards and a score. Jones has double-digit targets in three of the last four games and it appears last week's two-catch effort was just an outlier. Jones should be rostered in most leagues and is a WR3 play with upside.

D.J. Chark Jr., Detroit Lions - 40% rostered

Jameson Williams caught his first NFL touchdown in this week's game, but he was targeted just twice and the touchdown was wide open after the defense lost track of Williams. I'm much more interested in Chark, who was targeted seven times, catching six passes for 94 yards and a touchdown. That's two weeks in a row with over 90 yards for Chark, and his second touchdown in the last three games. He should be rostered in most formats.

Richie James, New York Giants - 11% rostered

James now has at least 40 yards and a touchdown in three of the last four games, and his nine targets this week were a season-high. He caught seven of them for 61 yards. The fact that James keeps finding the end zone means he needs to be rostered in far more leagues than he is because this many scores in this short of a time isn't a fluke. He's become one of the best weapons in a Giants receiving corps that is...well, bad. I hate being that blunt, but when the players with three or more targets are James, Isaiah Hodgins, Matt Breida, Daniel Bellinger, Darius Slayton, and Gary Brightwell, well...if the shoe fits.

Chris Moore, Houston Texans - 2% rostered

Yes, there's a guy who's 2% rostered in the top section of this week's article. Yes, it's a Houston Texans player. No, I won't apologize for this.

With Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins out, Chris Moore had double the targets of anyone else on this team, with the quarterback duo of Davis Mills and Jeff Driskel (it was a weird game) looking his way 11 times. He caught 10 passes for 124. If Cooks and Collins are out again next week, Moore would be in line for a lot of volume.

(You might be tempted to also add Amari Rodgers, who caught a touchdown in this one. Ehh...it's the fantasy playoffs, so I don't know if he's someone I'd want to trust).

Elijah Moore, New York Jets - 27% rostered

Remember when Moore was out of the lineup and wanted to be traded? Well, now he's out there leading the team in targets. Moore had 10 chances this week, catching six passes for 60 yards. The six catches were his most of the year. Moore had some increased opportunities last week when he saw six targets, but he couldn't convert them into much. This week, he converted. With the Lions up next week, Moore's a viable WR4 play.

Ben Skowronek, Los Angeles Rams - 3% rostered

With Baker Mayfield under center, the Rams offense looked...well, not good, but better at least. Skowronek led the team in catches and yards this week, hauling in seven catches for 89 yards. His eight targets ranked second. Look: I hate playing anyone in this offense, but Skowronek's definitely usable in fantasy as long as Mayfield's the quarterback.

Wide Receiver Deeper League Waiver Wire Pickups

Demarcus Robinson, Baltimore Ravens - 15% rostered

It's hard to like any pass catcher for Baltimore much, but Robinson has emerged as the No. 1 receiver for the team. He was targeted six times this week, tied for first on the team with tight end Mark Andrews. The other wide receivers combined for three targets. Robinson's a potential dart throw against the Browns next week. He's probably the one guy in this section with guaranteed volume, even if it's not a ton of volume.

Tutu Atwell, Los Angeles Rams - 0% rostered

Honestly, this is a "my league's too sharp, and Skowronek is already gone" pickup. Atwell led the Rams in targets this week with nine, and he caught five of those for 50 yards. He also had two rushing touches but lost five yards. With 14 targets over the last two games, Atwell is interesting, but I'd probably need to be pretty desperate to actually throw him in a lineup against the Packers next week.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee Titans - 5% rostered

Targeted a team-high eight times this week, Westbrook-Ikhine found the end zone but also had just three catches for 23 yards. I think it's fair to have some interest in him in deep leagues, but he's been pretty inconsistent all season long.
