Montreal Canadiens defenseman Mike Matheson (undisclosed) will be kept out of the lineup Saturday against the Kings. He left Thursday's practice early and also didn't hit the ice for Friday's practice session, so his absence was expected. Matheson missed the start of the season with an abdominal strain and he has played in just nine games so far. The former Penguin has put in some encouraging performances, logging six points. Jordan Harris will replace Matheson as Johnathan Kovacevic's partner on Saturday and should see a bit more action than usual. The 22-year-old rookie has shown some promise, but he's far from a reliable fantasy option for managers.--Taavi Pailk
