1 year agoThe Los Angeles Rams claimed former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield off waivers from the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday, according to league sources. The Rams now inherit the remaining $1.35 million on Mayfield's contract. He's expected to fly to Los Angeles by Tuesday night, and he could play on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders. Matthew Stafford (concussion, neck) has missed the last two games and will likely miss the rest of the year after being put on Injured Reserve. John Wolford is also dealing with an injury, leaving rookie Bryce Perkins as the only healthy QB on the roster. Mayfield will surely make starts for the Rams down the stretch, but he's highly unlikely to start in Week 14 on such a short turnaround.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
