Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jordie Benn (upper body) was placed on Injured Reserve Thursday. He suffered an upper-body injury in Wednesday's win over New Jersey, and the team is considering Benn week-to-week. Benn has had an opportunity to play a big role since making his season debut two weeks ago, with a number of his teammates sidelined with various injuries. He has tallied two points in six games with eight shots, 18 hits and 15 blocks. The Maple Leafs are mainly going to miss Benn's muscle. Having already missed a large chunk of the campaign with a groin problem, the veteran blue-liner will be hoping to return as quickly as possible.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
