DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Week 9 Daily College Fantasy Football - Saturday Main Slate (10/29/22)

Chase Brown - CFB DFS Lineup Picks, Daily College Fantasy Football, NFL Draft

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday Main Week 9 (10/29/22) slate. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We have another 13 games on the main slate this week and we have some really good ones going on. The noon kickoffs are few, but they are mighty. We start off with Arkansas at Auburn, Oklahoma in Ames, TCU out in Morgantown, Florida State hosting the appropriately named Wreck, The Irish at the Loud House, and Penn State hosting the Buckeyes. How's that for a start to our day?

The afternoon begins with Rutgers heading to Minneapolis for a weird 2:30 Eastern start time. An hour later gives us the Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, Oregon in Berkeley, Oklahoma State in the Little Apple, Wake heading to Louisville, Nebraska hosting the Illini, and Cincinnati at the Bounce House. There are some great matchups on here!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/29/22 locking at noon eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Bo Nix, Oregon ($9,400)

Nix has at least 35 DraftKings points against every FBS team not named Georgia this year. He has been efficient through the air and very good on the ground. He has accounted for 25 touchdowns (17 passing, eight rushing) already this year. That makes Nix worth paying up for. As if that isn't enough, Cal has been burned several times in the secondary. Penix got them a few times last week and it would have been much worse if not for dropped passes.

Max Duggan, TCU ($8,500)

Duggan wasn't even the starter for the Toadies coming out of the summer. All he has done since starting in Week 2 is rack up 19 passing touchdowns and four more on the ground. We've seen this movie before though, right? And the sequels are almost never as good. However, this might be like the Back To The Future run of movies. Duggan has only thrown one interception all season. ONE. Duggan had thrown 20 in three years coming into this season. Duggan isn't making mistakes and West Virginia just got thrashed by Texas Tech last week. The ceiling is very high this week.

Tommy DeVito, Illinois ($6,000)

DeVito put up a strong 21.78 DraftKings points on a good Minnesota defense before the bye. I'm not worried about his floor against Nebraska. The ceiling is very nice for the price considering how badly Nebraska's defense has been at times this year. I expect a bigger game out of Brown, but DeVito is too cheap in this much of a plus matchup.

Hunter Dekkers, Iowa State ($5,300)

I have had the misfortune of watching every Oklahoma game this season, and I can tell you it is the worst Oklahoma defense since 1998. They are bleeding yardage from everywhere. That's why Texas destroyed them when Gabriel was out. They couldn't move the ball. Iowa State's defense is good enough to fluster the Oklahoma offense. This offense has stalled out several times this year, but Dekkers put up some big numbers in the near upset of Texas before the bye. He might be my favorite play on the entire slate. He could hit 40 against this defense. I'm not kidding. He had 31.16 against Texas...

Also consider: Sam Hartman, Wake Forest ($8,900); Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State ($8,300); Malik Cunningham, Louisville ($8,000); Will Howard, Kansas State (if Martinez out, $6,200); Garrett Shrader, Syracuse ($5,900); Robby Ashford, Auburn ($5,200)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Chase Brown, Illinois ($7,500)

He is every word synonymous with lock on this slate. Not only has Nebraska allowed 190.4 rushing yards per game this season, but Brown himself is leading the nation in rushing with 1,059 yards. More touchdowns would be nice, but I'm not complaining about this price against this defense.

Deuce Vaughn, Kansas State ($7,000)

We've seen that this offense can still function – thanks to Will Howard's leap from last year to this year – if Martinez can't go. Vaughn is a better play for me with Martinez out since he'll see more opportunities with Howard being more of a passer than a runner. Still, Vaughn has game-breaking ability and is very active in the passing game. Look at the game Bijan Robinson had against the Pokes last week. Vaughn could be in line for the same. If Martinez plays, I'm flipping to Sanders against the Auburn defense.

Kendre Miller, TCU ($6,300)

Yeah, Duggan having an outstanding season is a big reason for TCU's success, but don't overlook Miller. He has four 100-yard rushing games in the last five and has scored at least one touchdown in every game this season. His speed has been a problem for everyone so far. West Virginia is still giving up chunk plays and points to Texas Tech. Miller and the Toadies are in for a huge game in this one.

Tank Bigsby, Auburn ($5,400)

It was nice to see Auburn remember that they have a freaking running back named Tank in their backfield against Ole Miss before the bye. The run defense for Arkansas has been an issue all season as well. I would still like to see Tank carry it more than 20 times, but his price is low enough that he can hit value against the Piggies even if he doesn't. Auburn trailed Ole Miss by 21 early in the second quarter in that game and Tank still got 20 carries. Hopefully, that's a trend since Bryan Harsin is probably coaching for his job.

Also consider: Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota ($7,300); Raheim Sanders, Arkansas ($6,900); Jirehl Brock, Iowa State ($5,400); CJ Donaldson, West Virginia ($5,200); Lawrance Toafili, Florida State ($3,900)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Xavier Hutchinson, Iowa State ($7,900)

An uncharacteristic drop by Hutchinson ended the upset bid against Texas and Hutchinson has had two weeks to stew on it. He's a target hog anyway. He could be in for a huge game against an Oklahoma secondary that doesn't actually cover anyone. They just tackle receivers with the ball in the air. That will probably hurt Hutchinson's bottom line, but I'll be shocked if he doesn't catch a dozen passes here. Too bad the six pass interference penalties committed against him won't count as well...

Quentin Johnston, TCU ($7,200)

Johnston "only" had 17.4 DraftKings points against K-State last week. He had 78.6 in the two games prior, so maybe we can be a little disappointed in that line. Still, That's almost hitting value for the price in what was an off day of late for him. Duggan and Johnston are working in lock-step right now. There will be enough points given up by the Mountaineers to make all of them good fantasy plays.

Michael Mayer, Notre Dame ($5,600)

Mayer had a huge game against UNLV in a game where they clearly could have won without him. That makes me a little more confident about his floor. Drew Pyne is always looking for Mayer. He has 22 receptions for 293 yards and three touchdowns over the last three games. He may be a tight end, but he is the most valuable piece of this offense and isn't priced like it.

Bryson Green, Oklahoma State ($5,400)

Somewhere over the course of the last two weeks, Green has become the favorite target of Spencer Sanders. He has 10 receptions for 248 yards and a pair of touchdowns in that span. Sanders certainly isn't lacking for options in the passing game, but K-State has had some problems in the secondary. TCU came back on them thanks to some chunk plays over the top.

Also consider: Trey Palmer, Nebraska ($7,600); Troy Franklin, Oregon ($6,800); Bryce Ford-Wheaton, West Virginia ($6,700); Oronde Gadsden II, Syracuse ($6,100); Pat Bryant, Illinois ($5,400); J. Michael Sturdivant, California ($5,200); Jaylin Noel, Iowa State ($4,600); Malik Knowles, Kansas State ($4,500)

College Football DFS Game Stack Options

You know which team stacks are often good, but this isn't baseball. Game stacks can and do work. Just look at Alabama-Tennessee in Week 7. That game made several DFS players a few thousand bucks. Who can do that this week? Let's check it out!

Wake Forest at Louisville

There are a couple of other places that I like better, but they are mostly one-sided. In this game, I definitely want both quarterbacks, which is the central part of a game stack. I like Tiyon Evans if he plays. If he doesn't, Trevion Cooley is a necessary value piece. The Wake run game doesn't do much for me. I'm more interested in paying up for A.T. Perry and Jahmal Banks. Ahmari Huggins-Bruce feels a little too cheap for the Cardinals, but they are mostly going to run. I'm only interested in one of their receivers.

Oklahoma at Iowa State

Iowa State's defense has been very good, but they showed a few holes against Texas. Oklahoma's offense isn't the problem. They made Kansas play up to their tempo and it didn't work well. Dillon Gabriel is less enticing due to his price. Hunter Dekkers is one of the most underpriced pieces on this slate and I'm definitely pairing Hutchinson with him. I'm more interested in Brock and if I use an Oklahoma back it will be Javontae Barnes as a punt. ISU's run defense has been good. I love the discounts on Noel and Brayden Willis at receiver. That allows us to pay up for both Marvin Mims and Hutchinson.

Honorable Mention: Arkansas at Auburn, Ohio State at Penn State
