Free-agent center Jalen Smith has agreed to a two-year deal to return to Indiana. The 22-year-old began the 2021-22 campaign in Phoenix before being shipped to the Pacers ahead of the deadline. His stats off the bench weren't the best for either of the clubs. However, throughout his eight starts, he averaged 14.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks while shooting an insane 45.5% from downtown. Those numbers are encouraging, but Smith will likely have plenty of competition for minutes moving ahead. Still, he may receive an enhanced role from time to time during the season, which should give him short-term appeal for fantasy managers. In the meantime, he probably won't draw much interest during fantasy drafts heading into October, although that could change if the Pacers make some moves over the summer. Without a doubt, he's someone to watch during the year.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerRead More News
