The New York Jets signed free-agent safety/linebacker Marcell Harris to an undisclosed deal on Thursday, according to a source. The former sixth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers will reunite with head coach Robert Saleh after 52 games (20 starts) with the 49ers over the last four years. Harris spent his first three seasons in the secondary before transitioning to a weakside linebacker role for San Francisco last year. The 27-year-old had a career-high 44 tackles (24 solo), one interception and a sack in 15 games (seven starts) for the Niners in 2021. Harris will give the Jets more linebacker depth and can also factor in on special teams.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
