New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin (upper body) has resumed skating, but he remains unavailable for Friday's Battle of New York against the Rangers. Sorokin has missed two games after getting injured last weekend in a 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay. He's been a rock for the Islanders this season with a 22-14-7 record and six shutouts. Semyon Varlamov hasn't gotten anywhere near to Sorokin's numbers, although he has won both starts since his teammate got hurt. With that said, both outings came against Columbus, and Friday's matchup will be much tougher for Varlamov, who is 8-13-2 for the year with a 2.84 goals-against average, a .915 save percentage and one shutout.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
