2025 Fantasy Baseball Second Base Rankings: Top 50 - Roto Leagues (January Updates)

Mookie Betts - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

RotoBaller's 2025 fantasy baseball second base rankings for roto leagues (January updates). Use our tiered 2B rankings to win your fantasy baseball drafts.

Our MLB team has been providing a ton of fantasy baseball content to help you win your leagues, and we're releasing all sorts of rankings over the next few days and weeks. That said, today we continue our fantasy baseball rankings articles series with our MLB team's 2025 fantasy baseball second base rankings and tiers for 5x5 mixed roto leagues. Second base doesn't have much elite star power outside of Mookie Betts, Ketel Marte, and Jose Altuve. But while the position may lack elite bats, it's still deep enough to find solid fantasy production in the middle to late rounds.

There's a good combination of speed and power that can be found at second base. Ketel Marte had a career year and was the best second baseman in fantasy last year, slashing .292/.372/.560 with 36 home runs, 95 RBI, 93 runs, and seven stolen bases over 583 plate appearances. Brice Turang led all second basemen with 50 stolen bases and was third overall behind Elly De La Cruz (67) and Shohei Ohtani (59). Jackson Holliday, Zack Gelof, Colt Keith, Ceddanne Rafaela are ranked outside the top 12 but carry a lot of fantasy upside and could easily smash their ADPs.

The second base rankings below are specifically designed for traditional 5x5 Roto Mixed Leagues (click here for points leagues, dynasty leagues, and prospect rankings). We also have many other tools and resources to help you win in 2025. We've worked hard to keep track of all off-season moves to get you covered for your fantasy baseball drafts with our 2025 Fantasy Baseball Draft Kit. It includes various fantasy baseball tools and exclusive articles/projections for different formats.
