Week 18 Fantasy Football Quarterback Outlooks

Brady Cook, New York Jets

New York Jets undrafted rookie quarterback Brady Cook will make his fourth straight start in a Week 18 divisional matchup with the Bills. Dating back to Week 14, when he took over early for an injured Tyrod Taylor, Cook has completed less than 60% of his passes for 679 yards, while throwing one touchdown to seven interceptions.

He has also been sacked a league-leading 18 times in that span, making the Bills DST an obvious unit to target in any leagues still playing for a Week 18 fantasy championship. Even with questions surrounding the availability of Josh Allen (foot) and the rest of the Bills' starters, Buffalo is a seven-point favorite at home in a game that will help to determine seeding in the AFC.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to rest quarterback Jalen Hurts and most of their starters in Sunday's Week 18 regular-season finale against the division-rival Washington Commanders, sources told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The Eagles can move up from the No. 3 seed to the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff picture with a win over Washington, coupled with a Chicago Bears loss to the Detroit Lions, but the Eagles are prioritizing rest for their starters as they head into the postseason.

With Hurts set to be rested this weekend, Tanner McKee will get the start under center for the Eagles against the Commanders. Fantasy managers will also need to stay away from running back Saquon Barkley, wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and tight end Dallas Goedert. Hurts didn't run as much in 2025, but he still goes into Week 18 action as the QB6 in overall fantasy points.

Malik Willis, Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Malik Willis (shoulder) has been spectacular stepping in for Jordan Love (concussion), who missed most of the Week 16 contest due to injury, and was ruled out for the Week 17 matchup. In the Week 17 matchup, where Willis played the whole game against the Baltimore Ravens, he completed 18 of 21 passes for 288 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 60 yards and scoring twice on the ground, good for 31.52 fantasy points.

He was the overall QB3 on the week, and put a lot of great film on tape, and potentially played himself into a nice contract during the offseason, considering he is an unrestricted free agent (UFA) this upcoming spring.  Regardless, Willis' value is on the rise, and for those still competing for a Week 18 championship, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur made it clear that Love is the team's starting quarterback when healthy, so Willis' starting will be contingent on Love's availability for Week 18.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back) has returned to practice, and there is some optimism that he will play in Week 18. He is currently listed as questionable, and head coach John Harbaugh said that when he is healthy, he will play and start in the pivotal Week 18 AFC North matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, where the winner will take the division and lock in a playoff spot, while the loser goes home.

Jackson injured his back in the first half of the Ravens' Week 16 loss to the New England Patriots and did not play in Week 17 at Green Bay last week, and has now missed a total of five games on the season. Tyler Huntley stepped in and finished the Week 16 contest and started in the Ravens' Week 17 win at Green Bay, and would be in line for another start if Jackson misses again.

Quinn Ewers, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers threw his first two touchdown passes in a Week 17 upset win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, going 14-for-22 passing for 172 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions in his second NFL start. The 22-year-old seventh-rounder from Texas added four rushing attempts for five yards. Ewers threw for 260 yards in his first start last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he threw no TDs and two picks.

He wasn't exceptional on Sunday against Tampa, but he managed to avoid turning the ball over, with his touchdown passes going to receiver Theo Wease and tight end Greg Dulcich. To close out the year, he'll get the division-rival New England Patriots on the road as the Dolphins look to spoil New England's chances of earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC and a first-round bye in the playoffs. Ewers should be considered as nothing more than a low-end QB2 option in his first meeting with the Pats.

Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins led the team to another upset victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football to close out Week 17 action. Most of the heavy lifting was done by star running back Bijan Robinson, though, who finished just shy of 200 rushing yards with a touchdown on 22 carries. Robinson also caught five passes for 34 yards and a second touchdown. Cousins, meanwhile, continued to play a game-manager role at QB, going 13-for-20 passing for 126 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions.

The 37-year-old veteran signal-caller shouldn't attract a ton of fantasy interest as a streamer going into the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival New Orleans Saints. Cousins has gone over 200 passing yards just twice in the last five games. In the first game against the Saints, he threw for 199 yards, two TDs, and a pick on Nov. 23.
