2024 NFL QB Power Rankings: All 32 Starting Quarterbacks for Week 5

Lamar Jackson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Quincy Milton ranks all 32 starting NFL quarterbacks for Week 5 of the 2024 season. From Lamar Jackson to Tyler Huntley, see where your favorite quarterback falls.

The elite quarterbacks are starting to separate themselves from the pack in 2024. The usual names remain near the top; however, young guns such as Jayden Daniels continue to surge up the power rankings.

Even as the elite players remain near the top, they are not invincible to the loss of star skill players. Most notably, Patrick Mahomes may start to feel the sting of his lack of a top-notch receiving corps with wide receiver Rashee Rice going down due to injury.

As the season wears on, time will tell how things will shake out with these players. Let's take a look at where each quarterback falls in the power rankings as we head into Week 5.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

1. Lamar Jackson - Baltimore Ravens

Jackson deserves his time in the spotlight after leading the Ravens to back-to-back victories. Jackson has been excellent in 2024 and has limited his turnovers. He has rushed for a touchdown in two straight games and will look to carry that momentum into a Week 5 intra-division clash with Cincinnati.

2. Joe Burrow - Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow has climbed these ranks in recent weeks. Since his dud in Week 1, Burrow has thrown for 814 yards and seven touchdowns. He has only thrown one interception all season, which came in Week 4. The Bengals sit at 1-3, but with Burrow playing like this, that will not last.

3. Josh Allen - Buffalo Bills

Allen had a tough Week 4. He was limited to 180 passing yards and barely completed 50% of his passes. He also did not account for any touchdowns. Still, he had been playing lights out before Week 4, so look for a rebound when the Bills visit the Texans in Week 5.

4. Patrick Mahomes - Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes lost arguably his best pass-catcher in Week 4 when Rashee Rice injured his knee. Mahomes has not looked like himself all season as the Chiefs continue to slog their way to victory. With Rice out, the onus is on Mahomes to be the other-worldly quarterback we know he is and take this team to the promised land.

5. C.J. Stroud - Houston Texans

Stroud finally lit up the box score in Week 4. His 345 passing yards were a season-high by 85 yards. He tacked on two touchdowns for good measure. The Texans are continuing to roll. They will draw a tough matchup in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills.

6. Brock Purdy - San Francisco 49ers

Purdy has been sneaking his way up these ranks all season. He continues to put up solid numbers despite the 49ers being down one or multiple weapons from game to game.

7. Dak Prescott - Dallas Cowboys

Prescott had a nice game in Week 4 as the Cowboys got back in the winning column. Prescott has only thrown two interceptions this season and will look to continue that trend in Week 5 against a ball-hawking Steelers defense.

8. Baker Mayfield - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mayfield threw for 347 yards and two touchdowns in a rout of the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Mayfield has been excellent in 2024 and seems to have picked up where he left off last season. The Buccaneers are in command of the NFC South as a result.

9. Jalen Hurts - Philadelphia Eagles

When you take two top-15 wide receivers from a quarterback, he may end up performing the way Hurts did in Week 4. The Eagles were dismantled by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4. They head into a much-needed bye to get healthy and rest up for a long season ahead.

10. Jayden Daniels - Washington Commanders

Daniels has managed to surge into the top 10 on this list. He threw his first interception in Week 4, but he had his third multi-touchdown game of the season and he continues to complete passes at an incredibly high rate.

Daniels is enjoying a rookie season akin to Robert Griffin III with the same franchise 12 years later. He will face his toughest test yet against a stingy Cleveland Browns defense in Week 5.

11. Jared Goff - Detroit Lions

Jared Goff is back. The Lions faced a red-hot Seattle Seahawks defense in Week 4 and torched it. Goff went 18-of-18 through the air and looked like his normal self. The Lions are looking quite scary all of a sudden.

12. Geno Smith - Seattle Seahawks

Smith went toe to toe with Jared Goff on Monday night but ultimately did not come out the victor. His 395 passing yards were easily his highest total of the season. Still, Smith threw a costly interception late in the game with the Seahawks in desperation mode.

13. Sam Darnold - Minnesota Vikings

Darnold continues to show that talented quarterbacks can succeed when given the proper chance. He has thrown multiple touchdowns in every game this season and he leads the NFL in passing touchdowns by three.

14. Matthew Stafford - Los Angeles Rams

The lack of Cooper Kupp or Puka Nacua in the lineup continues to hurt Stafford and push him down this list. The tough Bears defense shut him down in Week 4 and squandered the Rams' comeback chances with a late interception. Like many quarterbacks in the league, Stafford needs his guys back.

15. Kyler Murray - Arizona Cardinals

Murray has sputtered in recent weeks after coming out on fire in Weeks 1 and 2. The Cardinals continue to lose games as a result of a subpar offense and defense. Things may not get easier in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.

16. Aaron Rodgers - New York Jets

Rodgers continues to be marred by mediocrity, as evidenced by his ranking right in the middle of this list. The Jets faced a talented Denver Broncos defense in Week 4, which led to a poor outing from Rodgers.

17. Kirk Cousins - Atlanta Falcons

Cousins and the Falcons were able to squeak out a win against the New Orleans Saints in Week 4. Cousins only completed 60% of his passes and did not throw any touchdowns. He will need to pick up his play if the Falcons expect to compete in the NFC.

18. Jordan Love - Green Bay Packers

Love returned in Week 4 and threw for 389 yards and four touchdowns. However, his three interceptions put a damper on his day. The Packers are now two games behind the Vikings in the NFC North.

19. Justin Herbert - Los Angeles Chargers

It is hard to believe that Herbert has only thrown for 578 yards in 2024. He has yet to throw for more than 179 yards in a game, either. His QBR of 41.4 puts him at 27th in the league. The Chargers need to find some magic as they have now dropped two straight games.

20. Derek Carr - New Orleans Saints

Carr has gone ice cold since his hot start to the season. He threw for 239 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception in Week 4. If he continues to play like this, then the Saints stand no chance in the NFC.

21. Justin Fields - Pittsburgh Steelers

Fields almost found himself climbing higher into the top 20 on this list. However, he had a tough first half against the Colts in Week 4 that knocked him down to No. 21. Even so, he continues to keep turnovers to a minimum. Don’t look now but he is also completing 70.6% of his passes.

22. Andy Dalton - Carolina Panthers

Dalton continues to lead the Panthers offense to competence. He threw multiple touchdowns once again in Week 4; however, the game was not as magical as in Week 3.

23. Caleb Williams - Chicago Bears

Williams climbs a few spots on this list after playing much more in control against the Rams in Week 4. His numbers were not spectacular (157 passing yards and a touchdown), but Williams completed 73.9% of his passes and posted his highest QBR of the season at 39.1.

24. Daniel Jones - New York Giants

Although Jones did not throw a touchdown in Week 4, his statistics were respectable. Still, the Giants sit at 1-3. However, it cannot all be attributed to Jones. Jones’ QBR of 55.7 on the season is good for 14th in the league.

25. Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville Jaguars

Boy, how the mighty have fallen. After showing so much promise in 2022, Lawrence has fallen far from grace. Lawrence and the Jaguars are reeling. They cannot run the ball and Lawrence is 32nd in the league in completion percentage.

26. Anthony Richardson - Indianapolis Colts

Richardson is finally completing more than 50% of his passes thanks to going 3-of-4 in his limited action in Week 4. He is now nursing a hip injury and could miss Week 5.

27. Jacoby Brissett - New England Patriots

Poor Brissett continues to be wrecked behind the Patriots’ porous O-line. He has now fallen to 31st in the league in passing yards and his QBR is plummeting. He simply has no time to make anything happen in this offense.

28. Gardner Minshew II - Las Vegas Raiders

Minshew and the Raiders got their second win of the season in Week 4 against an awful Browns team. Minshew did not have to do much and only threw for 130 yards and no touchdowns.

29. Deshaun Watson - Cleveland Browns

Speaking of the Browns, Watson continues to barely hold on to any shred of respect as a player anyone may have had for him. Although he did not have a bad Week 4, he is completely ineffective as a starting quarterback in the NFL at this stage.

30. Bo Nix - Denver Broncos

Nix and the Broncos managed to win in Week 4 despite Nix completing 48% of his passes and only throwing for 60 yards. It is utterly astonishing that this team won but Nix did finally throw his first NFL touchdown pass.

31. Will Levis - Tennessee Titans

Levis left Monday night’s game due to a shoulder injury, so it remains to be seen if he will be able to play this week. Head coach Brian Callahan committed to Levis as the starter if he is healthy.

32. Tyler Huntley - Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are in a tough position. They are 1-3 and are unlikely to get Tua Tagovailoa back anytime soon. Huntley was only able to lead the Dolphins to 12 points in Week 4. Who knows if he will even retain this job beyond Week 5.
