Dynasty Fantasy Football Outlook for Zamir White (2024)

Zamir White - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, NFL Injury News

Fantasy football value in dynasty leagues heading into 2024 for Las Vegas Raiders running back Zamir White. Dave Ventresca evaluates White and where he ranks among dynasty running backs.

The 2024 NFL Draft has come and gone. Several rookie minicamps are now underway. The NFL offseason is moving fast!

As we enter the post-draft part of the offseason, it’s a good time to revisit some players’ dynasty values. The results of the NFL Draft can cause wild fluctuations based on its results.

Make sure you keep up to date with all your fantasy football needs by following RotoBaller on X and checking out RotoBaller.com. Today, we will examine Las Vegas Raiders running back Zamir White’s dynasty outlook and what we can expect from him in 2024.

Zamir White Background

White is a former five-star recruit and played college ball at the University of Georgia. Unfortunately, he dealt with several major injuries during his early years. He suffered a torn ACL during his senior year in high school and would suffer a second torn ACL during his freshman year at Georgia.

The Las Vegas Raiders were not phased and selected White in Round 4 of the 2022 NFL Draft. He didn’t see the field much as a rookie and spent the season backing up starter Josh Jacobs. 2023 was mostly the same until Jacobs went down with a quad injury. This forced him to miss the team’s final four games.

White would step in as the Raiders starter beginning in Week 14. He had a four-game stretch to show the team what he could do as a lead rusher. During this stretch, White totaled 397 rushing yards and displayed a hard-nosed running style that meshed well with head coach Antonio Pierce’s vision on offense.

What is Zamir White Worth in Fantasy Football Dynasty Leagues?

There may not have been a bigger dynasty winner this offseason than White.

White is currently ranked as the RB27 in our up-to-date dynasty rankings. KeepTradeCut, which crowdsources data from dynasty players to generate rankings, estimates his current trade value is equivalent to a 2024 second-round rookie pick. These might seem low for a 24-year-old running back, but it may be for good reason.

While we should celebrate White's anointment as the Raiders' clear RB1, we need to keep an eye on the future. This was widely seen as a weak running back class. The NFL Draft confirmed it. The 2025 running back class is loaded with talent. White is likely only a short-term stopgap. As good as things look right now, we need to remember he is still a rusher with Day 3 draft capital. These backs are almost always replaced. (See Michael Carter with Breece Hall, James Robinson with Travis Etienne, and Kyren Williams with Blake Corum.) So, while White is a clear winner following the draft, keep an eye on the future.

Contenders who own White -- enjoy the season ahead as White will be a strong starting option. However, if you are a rebuilding team or a contender whose season goes sideways, be ready to sell. You don’t want to be left holding the bag with this type of player. It’s a game of hot potato you don’t want to lose.

Zamir White 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

White played quite well in limited action last year. He finished 14th in Next Gen Stats Rush Yards Over Expectation Per Attempt (RYOE/ATT). In his four 2023 starts, White averaged over 23 touches per game. That kind of volume puts him on the RB1 radar.

The Raiders only added Alexander Mattison and rookie Dylan Laube to the backfield. Mattison has never proven to be effective. Laube is underrated as a rusher, but he profiles more as a receiving back. White doesn’t profile as a strong pass-catcher, either. This could ding his value in PPR leagues depending on what kind of role Laube gets to start.

Overall, though, these additions bode very well for White’s 2024 season. He appears to be a talented back and will have volume on his side. Fantasy owners can count on him for solid RB2 production. If White maintains the same volume he saw in a limited sample last year, he could push for back-end RB1 production.

There are legitimate concerns beyond this year. For the time being, though, dynasty managers in win-now mode can put their feet up and enjoy White’s 2024 season.
