Yahoo MLB DFS Advice (5/10/17): Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks

Happy Wednesday morning, or afternoon, or whenever you happen to be reading this. There are 14 games on the docket Wednesday with five afternoon tilts and the rest happening in the evening. All nine of the evening games are connected to the GPP's so they're the ones that I'll be focusing on as a result. The start times range from 7:05 to 10:10 EST. Yahoo has some great value options to choose from for DFS games so let's get down to business (because, as usual, it's business time).

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 5/10/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

You can read our FanDuel and DraftKings DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @justinrklein.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Consider on Yahoo

The Diamondbacks at home at Chase Field against LHP Matt Boyd and the Detroit Tigers. Chase Field is the second best Park in play Wednesday night tied with Miller Park and the Diamondbacks are projected to score the most runs on the evening slate. Not only do the Diamondbacks have a strong offense, but they also have a great matchup against Boyd. In his career Boyd has allowed right handed hitters a a .350 wOBA and left handed hitters a .356 wOBA. While Boyd himself is left handed he's actually been worse against left handed hitters. The Diamondbacks have several LHH and their RHH tend to hit very well against LHP.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

Chris Archer vs KC ($49)

Chris Archer at home under the pitcher friendly catwalk in St. Pete against the worst offense in baseball is a layup folks. For less than fifty bucks it's a slam dunk. Don't over think it and just slide him into your lineups. Next song. Next!

Yu Darvish vs SD ($54)

Darvish, like Archer, is a -205 favorite at home on Wednesday evening as he will face off with Luis Perdomo and the Dads. Although he's a little more expensive I expect similar results. Darvish should post elite ratios and K's in a likely win. He's not as good of a deal as Archer, but he's still a strong play for the money.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C) - Yasmani Grandal vs PIT ($10)

Grandal is a strong value play on Wednesday night as he faces off with RHP Chad Kuhl and the Pirates at home at Chavez Ravine. For just ten bucks we get both a solid value and matchup. In his career at home against RHP Yasmani has posted a .218 ISO, .357 wOBA and a wRC+ of 134. The fact that he's been hot lately makes me like him even more.

First Base (1B) - Paul Goldschmidt vs DET ($25)

Goldy gets to face off with LHP Matt Boyd on Wednesday and that fact alone is enough to point and click him into all of my DFS lineups. In case you're not up on things Paul likes to destroy LHP; especially when he's at home in the hitter friendly confines of Chase Field. Over his career against lefites at home Goldy has slashed a silly good .347/.463/.645 with an ISO of .298, a wOBA of .461 and a wRC+ of 187. Those are video game numbers that almost force a Goldy start no matter what the cost is.

Second Base (2B) - Rougned Odor vs SD ($11)

Rougned Odor is at home against RHP Luis Perdomo on Wednesday night and that bodes well for him and his owners in the fake game. In his career against RHP at home at Globe Life Park in Arlington he's managed a .220 ISO. For only eleven bucks Odor is both a solid value and matchup play on Wednesday evening, so join me and get him into most of your lineups.

Third Base (3B) - Evan Longoria - vs KC ($12)

Longoria isn't a great play on Wednesday, but he's a decent one, and that works when you consider his cost. At just twelve dollars you get a hitter that has posted a solid .476 SLG and a .214 ISO against RHP at home over his career. On a night when a couple of aces and an expensive Goldschmidt dominating my wallet I want to save every dollar that I can and this is a good spot to do just that.

Shortstop (SS) - Jorge Polanco at CHW ($11)

Polanco and the Twinkies face off with Derek Holland and the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago. Yes, it used to be called The Cell or US Cellular Field, and yes it's a great park to hit in. That bodes well for Polanco and his teammates as he's managed a triple slash of .304/.341/.482 with a wOBA of .340 and a wRC+ of 119 against LHP in his carer. For just eleven dollars he's a solid play on a budget.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

Delino DeShields vs SD ($9)

As I mentioned above the Rangers are big favorites at home against RHP Luis Perdomo. Texas is projected to score five runs and I fully expect DeShields to be in the mix as the lead off man. It's also important to note that 30 of his 39 SB have come against northpaws. Tonight I expect Delino to get on base and score and maybe even swipe a bag along the way. For just nine bucks he's a strong value play on Wednesday night.

Kevin Kiermaier vs KC ($9)

Kevin Kiermaier is also a solid value play at home against RHP Jason Hammel. Similar to DeShields he's a good bet to get on base and score a run with a possible stolen base. Unlike Delino Kevin also has some pop in his bat and is a threat to go yard. It's worth noting that nearly half of his career HR and SB have come at home against RHP. On a night where I need some low dollar value plays to go with my big dollar guys I like Kiermaier quite a bit.
