Yahoo Lineup Picks (Week 10) - NFL DFS Advice

Hey there RotoBallers! In this article, I will be taking a look at some of my favorite Yahoo DFS lineups picks for the Week 10 slate.

These DFS picks are based on a multitude of factors including matchup, talent, recent performance, Vegas odds, and pricing on Yahoo.

Generally, I will try to outline a top option at each position along with a value option with a chance to at least hit value. Let's get to it!

Quarterback Picks for Yahoo DFS

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys @ ATL, $35

Prescott just continues to be one of the most consistent fantasy quarterbacks in the league. The second-year signal caller has combined for at least three total touchdowns (rushing and passing) in five of his past six games. He has been extremely efficient running the ball this season, averaging 3.25 rushing attempts and 24.4 rushing yards per game along with four total rushing scores. This continues to give him a high weekly floor in addition to his weekly QB1 ceiling. The Cowboys are projected to score over 22 points this weekend in a game with a high 50-point over/under. Prescott is the quarterback of choice if you plan to pay up at the position this weekend.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. NYJ, $21

Fitzpatrick will step in as Tampa Bay's starting quarterback for the next few weeks while Jameis Winston is sidelined by a shoulder issue. While Fitzpatrick didn't fare well against the Saints in relief of Winston in Week 9, he will find things much easier to navigate against the Jets in Week 10. New York is struggling against the pass this season, ranking 21st in pass defense DVOA and allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to the position on Yahoo. This is Ryan Fitzpatrick we are talking about here, so he can't be called a "safe" play, but he is just $1 over the minimum price on Yahoo and the matchup sets up for him to return excellent value in Week 10.

Running Back Picks for Yahoo DFS

LeSean McCoy, Buffalo Bills vs. NO, $34

McCoy disappointed against the Jets in Week 9 with just 25 rushing yards, but New York has been pretty stout against the run this season, having allowed just one rushing score to the position since Week 2. McCoy should bounce back in a big way against a Saints defense that is much improved against the pass but is still vulnerable against enemy backs. New Orleans' strong secondary should help funnel extra work to McCoy, setting him up for a strong outing in Week 10. McCoy maintains a high weekly floor as he has been one of the more active running backs in the passing game this year, averaging 4.75 receptions and just over 30 receiving yards per game. He's a fantastic play if you are able to save enough elsewhere to fit him into lineups.

Christian McCaffrey, Carolina Panthers vs. MIA, $19

McCaffrey enjoyed a career-high 15 rushing attempts and 20 total touches against the Falcons in Week 9. He surely saw a few extra rushing attempts thanks to Jonathan Stewart losing two fumbles, but McCaffrey made the most of his opportunity, posting 4.4 rushing yards per attempts, a season-high for him. The rookie runner continues to be one of the heaviest-targeted satellite backs in the league, averaging six receptions and just over 45 receiving yards per game. He hasn't seen less than six targets since Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills and, similar to McCoy, all the work in the passing game keeps his weekly floor up. McCaffrey projects as an RB1 in fantasy this weekend but he is priced as the RB16 on Yahoo. Be sure to take advantage of this pricing discrepancy.

Wide Receiver Picks for Yahoo DFS

Golden Tate, Detroit Lions vs. CLE, $20

Some pretty nice values at the wide receiver position opened up on Yahoo this week. Tate sets up as one of the top value options as he checks in at $20, just the 24th-highest priced wide receiver on the slate. Tate draws an excellent matchup against a leaky Cleveland pass defense this weekend. The Browns' pass defense ranks just 28th in the league in DVOA this season, setting Tate up for a possible huge game. Furthermore, Tate runs 80% of his routes out of the slot, meaning he will avoid coverage from Jason McCourty, who has been Cleveland's top defensive back this season.

Devin Funchess, Carolina Panthers vs. MIA, $19

Funchess checks in as another excellent value on Yahoo. With Kelvin Benjamin now in Buffalo, Funchess is now operating as Carolina's No. 1 receiver and he draws a fantastic matchup against a weak Miami pass defense. Funchess is averaging over seven targets per game and hasn't dipped below six since way back in Week 1. The Dolphins' pass defense ranks just 30th in the league in DVOA and will send Cordrea Tankersley and Xavien Howard out there to try to slow Funchess. Howard has been especially burnable this season, earning just a 38.1 grade from Pro Football Focus. Plugging both Tate and Funchess into lineups this weekend should allow fantasy owners to fit a high-priced receiver in the third WR spot on Yahoo.

Tight End Picks for Yahoo DFS

Evan Engram, New York Giants @ SF, $21

Engram draws what appears to be a tough matchup against the 49ers but he remains one of the top tight end options on the slate. San Francisco's defense is the best-rated unit in the league in DVOA against tight ends but they have started to show some cracks of late, having allowed a tight end touchdown in three straight games. With the depleted pass-catching corps on the Giants, Engram and Sterling Shepard are New York's two most consistent pass-catching options against a favorable Week 10 opponent.

Garrett Celek, San Francisco 49ers vs. NYG, $10

If you can't set aside enough salary to make Engram work in your lineups, look no further than the tight end on the other side of the field this Sunday. Garrett Celek stands to see an increased role as one of the 49ers' last remaining healthy tight ends. San Francisco ruled George Kittle out on Monday and placed backup tight end Cole Hikutini on injured reserve. That leaves Celek to operate as the team's primary tight end against a Giants defense that has been famously bad against the position this season. New York has allowed a tight end to score in each of their eight games played this year and is allowing the most fantasy points per game to the position.

Defense/Special Teams Pick for Yahoo DFS

Carolina Panthers vs. MIA, $17

The Panthers defense has been a better real-life defense than they have been in fantasy but the matchup this week is too good to ignore. Carolina is installed as a massive 10-point home favorite in a game with an extremely low 40-point over/under. Furthermore, the Dolphins offense has been the gift that keeps on giving to opposing fantasy defenses this season, allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game. This sets up as a perfect spot to deploy the Panthers defense in daily leagues.
