Yahoo Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (4/2/17): MLB DFS Advice

The top Yahoo daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 4/2/17 by Jason Bales. Expert MLB DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for Yahoo.

Let's get the season underway! The San Francisco Giants are ready for opening day, and so am I. This should be a very exciting season, and Yahoo has some great value options to choose from. Let's get down to business.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 4/2/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @thedominatordfs.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo

San Francisco Giants v. Zack Greinke

Zack Greinke struggled for a majority of the season in 2016, and he will have to prove himself to fantasy owners before he is avoided, especially in Arizona. The Diamondbacks have one of the best stadiums for offenses in the league. Greinke allows 1.33 home runs per nine innings pitched., which is very high. In comparison, Carlos Martinez only allows 0.69 home runs per nine innings pitched. The Giants are in a good spot to score some runs tonight.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

Madison Bumgarner - at ARI ($58)

Madison Bumgarner is the best pitcher on the board tonight, and even if his price tag is a little bit high, he should be rostered in all leagues. Bumgarner has a K-rate over 10, his WHIP is 1.038, and the Arizona Diamondbacks strikeout third most of any team taking the field today. Even in a hitter-friendly ballpark, Bumgarner grades out as the best option.

Chris Archer - vs NYY ($46)

Chris Archer is worth consideration in tournaments tonight against the New York Yankees. Archer surrenders quite a few home runs per nine innings pitched (1.37), and the Yankees have quite a bit of power, so this is very risky. Archer has the highest K-rate of any pitcher on the board, however. The risk could well be worth the reward.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C)

Gary Sanchez - at TB ($21)

As previously mentioned, Chris Archer surrenders quite a few home runs per nine innings pitched. Gary Sanchez has incredible power. His SLG is 0.689 and his ISO is 0.351. Roster him in tournaments without hesitation.

First Base (1B)

Anthony Rizzo - at STL ($20)

Anthony Rizzo, believe it or not, is cheaper than Gary Sanchez on Yahoo tonight. Carlos Martinez rarely ever surrenders home runs, but Rizzo is an extra base hitter, as well. He will have the opportunity to knock in some runs at the three spot in the Cubs' batting order.

Second Base (2B)

Ben Zobrist - at STL ($16)

Ben Zobrist is a power-hitting second baseman, which is important. FanDuel recently released a study, which stated having a home run in a lineup made it 300 percent more likely to cash. Zobrist can provide home runs, even if Martinez rarely surrenders them.

Shortstop (SS)

Brad Miller - vs NYY ($13)

Brad Miller is a little bit too cheap tonight against the New York Yankees. He is hitting fourth in the Tampa Bay Rays' lineup, and if the Rays get on base, Miller has the power to bring them all around to home plate with one swing of the bat. His ISO Differential is 0.125, as he gets a good lefty versus righty matchup.

Third Base (3B)

Evan Longoria - vs NYY ($16)

Evan Longoria is hitting third in the Tampa Bay Rays lineup tonight. He has great upside, and the ability to hit for extra bases. His price tag is moderate to start the season. He should impress fantasy owners, so take advantage of that.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

Denard Span - at ARI ($11)

Denard Span's price tag is entirely too low on Yahoo. He needs to be rostered in both 50/50 contests and tournaments. He is leading off for the best hitting team on the board tonight. He is likely going to see an extra at-bat, and his upside is through the roof. There is simply no reason to avoid him.

Corey Dickerson - vs NYY ($11)

Corey Dickerson is in the same boat as Denard Span. He is not quite as solid offensively, but his price tag is low, he is hitting first in the batting order, and he has great upside. Again, there is no reason to avoid him in 50/50 contests or tournaments.
