World Cup DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings: Matchday 2

With three games in Group A and B tomorrow, Friday's showdowns are Egypt vs Uruguay, Morocco vs Iran, and Spain vs Portugal. Due to the multiple games being played, lineups are back to their normal constructions. Below we bring you seven players you should consider as World Cup DFS lineup picks for Matchday 2 (on June 15th, 2018).

Not all are top-tier options, as there is a range of DFS value picks, sleepers and high-risk players mixed in.

Consider all of these players for your DFS lineups tomorrow; however, at the end of the day, it is always your decision. Good luck, RotoBallers.

WC DFS Forwards to Consider

Cristiano Ronaldo - F, Portugal (DK - $11,500, FD - $13,500)

Perhaps the best player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo has not been at his best during World Cup campaigns. Amidst transfer rumors of leaving Real Madrid, Ronaldo is still the talisman of the Portuguese national team and a good bet to score against a solid but unspectacular Spanish side. Although it will be a tight game, any action on the Portuguese end will likely come from Ronaldo, making him a must-start in GPP formats even with his salary cap hit.

Andre Silva - F, Portugal (DK - $5,900, FD - $8,500)

With 12 goals in 23 appearances for the national team, Andre Silva is a sneaky underrated forward who could end up starting or making an impact of the bench for his team. Despite the risk that he won't start, Silva has a knack for goal and could be one of Portugal's men up front, making him a valuable play at his price point, especially on DraftKings. Consider Silva in your tournament lineups, as he could be a slate-winner if he is able to make an impact against Spain.

WC DFS Midfielders to Consider

Nahitan Nandez - M, Uruguay (DK - $3,900, FD - $6,500)

An incredible steal on both DraftKings and FanDuel, Nandez is almost guaranteed to start as a winger for Uruguay. Even if he does not, a substitute appearance is not out of the question; the Boca Juniors midfielder has shown that he can produce on a big stage, and this could be his breakout tournament. With a price of $3,900 on DK, you just can't ignore the value of the Uruguayan winger - especially given that he will go against a subpar Egypt defensive unit.

Marco Asensio - M, Spain (DK - $7,800, FD - $8,500)

Although he is not the cheapest midfielder, Asensio is another must-start in your lineups for tomorrow's game. There is a chance that he does not start due to the presence of Diego Costa, but the leash will be short for the Atletico Madrid man, paving the way for significant playing time for Asensio. Any time that you can get a midfielder who will likely be featured as an out-and-out striker, it's worth the gamble of potentially seeing him on the bench. However, at his price point, there are other, more reliable (albeit with less upside) players that you can consider, making Asensio a solid Tournament play tomorrow.

WC DFS Defenders to Consider

Martin Caceres - D, Uruguay (DK - $4,100, FD - $6,000)

Uruguay are the most likely side to keep a clean sheet in tomorrow's matchups, as they are the only clear favorite entering the day. Therefore, choosing the value play out of the Uruguay defenders is probably a good strategy to have, regardless of your contest structure. The Uruguay left back, Martin Caceres, is a solid option who could advance further up the pitch to provide in crosses throughout the game.

Achraf Hakimi - D, Morocco (DK - $5,300, FD - $5,500)

Although he is a better value play on FanDuel (despite the higher price), Hakimi is the most dangerous defender between both Iran and Morocco. The 19 year old broke into Real Madrid's first team throughout last season and is going to play the majority of the game as an attacking fullback. Consider Hakimi in both GPP and Tournament formats tomorrow, although there are potentially better value plays with the other fullbacks in the game between Morocco and Iran tomorrow due to their lower price points.

WC DFS Goalies to Consider

Rui Patricio - G, Portugal (DK - $4,100, FD - 5,500)

Despite the fact that he is the third most valuable goalkeeper on FanDuel, Rui Patricio is a boom-bust option and GPP play as a result of his matchup with Spain. Now factor in that his price on DraftKings is only $4,100, and you have a bona fide steal from a starter at the position who has the potential to keep a clean sheet while making several saves in the process. Although other goalies (Fernando Muslera - Uruguay) have a higher chance at keeping a clean sheet this week, Patricio offers the most upside for value on DraftKings and is still a very solid option in FanDuel lineups as well.

Good luck this weekend!
