WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks, Betting Picks (7/17/22): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel, Best Bets

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks and betting picks for 7/17/22. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel and today's best bets.

Four WNBA games on Sunday and they get started at 1:00 p.m. ET, so there's not really time for me to type a long intro here. So, I'll just say that the first game of the day, the Aces visiting the Sun, is going to be really, really good. You should make sure you're watching that one.

I'll be providing daily fantasy lineup picks for the WNBA this season here at RotoBaller. In addition, I'll be sprinkling in some basic betting picks. Not going to get complicated since there's limited space in this piece, but I'll throw you a bet or two each day that I like and, because I think this is important, that I'll be making myself.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/17/22. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 7/17/2022 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Picks: Forward

Breanna Stewart (Seattle Storm) - vs IND - DK: $11,200; FD: $8,700

Duh.

Stewart taking on the W's worst defensive team is the kind of no-brainer play that we love. There's really no need for debate here: you should play Stewie because no one on this slate has a higher ceiling than she does against this Indiana team.

The one concern is that this game is a blowout and that limits Stewart's minutes. She played just 24 in the last meeting, scoring 12 points and adding six rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Those 30 fantasy points feel like her floor in this matchup. In the other recent game against Indiana, she had 20 points, six boards, three assists, two blocks and four steals, just absolutely filling that stat sheet up. I would expect another big night from Stewart in this one, even if we don't see much of her in the fourth. And if the Fever manage to keep this close and Stewart has to play 30-plus minutes, then look out: you're going to get a deluge of DFS points.

Sylvia Fowles (Minnesota Lynx) - @ WAS - DK: $9,900; FD: $8,100

Fowles is getting back to form lately after she was initially playing limited minutes after returning from injury. She has three double-doubles in a row, including a 20 and 17 against Dallas and then a 22 and 12 against the Fever. Sure, those teams are easier to beat than the Mystics, but Fowles will likely spend much of this game matched up against rookie Shakira Austin and Elizabeth Williams, who Fowles has three inches on. I don't see much happening to slow Fowles down on Sunday, making her a really good play on this slate, and a nice value on DraftKings, where her salary isn't matching up with her recent performance.

Queen Egbo (Indiana Fever) - @ SEA - DK: $7,200; FD: $5,400

The last time Egbo faced the Storm, she was 5-for-8 with 14 points plus pulled down 12 rebounds. Egbo also added an assist, a steal and a pair of blocks in that one. Her numbers in the two games since aren't as good, especially her most recent game when she scored just one point on 0-for-4 shooting, but I think there's a lot of upside and value here based on what we know Egbo's ceiling is, even if you take on the risk of her playing down to her floor.

WNBA DFS Picks: Guard

Sophie Cunningham (Phoenix Mercury) - vs ATL - DK: $8,500; FD: $6,600

I told myself that I would stop recommending Cunningham, because I'm just kind of tired of writing about her. But with Diamond DeShields out for Sunday, the Mercury are going to have to rely on the starters even more than usual, so Cunningham remains a top play at guard. Last game, she played 39 of 40 minutes, shooting 4-for-11 with 13 points, seven rebounds and one steal. That extended her streak of games with 10 or more points to eight. Included in there are two games with 20-plus points, including her 36-point explosion against the Lynx.

Natisha Hiedeman (Connecticut Sun) - vs LV - DK: $7,400; FD: $5,200

Hiedeman's consistency has been an issue, but she's scored in double figures in three of the team's last four games, and is coming off of a 13-point showing against the Dream in which she also added two rebounds, three assists and two steals. Hiedeman's ability to garner steals is a nice plus, though the Aces turn the ball over less than any team in the W. Hiedeman had six assists the last time these teams met.

AD Durr (listed as Asia Durr on DraftKings and Asia (AD) Durr on FanDuel) (Atlanta Dream) - @ PHO - DK: $5,700; FD: $4,600

We were wondering who would benefit the most from Rhyne Howard being out last game. My gut said Tiffany Hayes, but I was wrong: it was AD, who played their most minutes since late June. In 25 minutes of action, AD had 12 points, three rebounds and three assists. They took 12 field goal attempts in the game. That jump in usage is intriguing and makes them a great value play on Sunday's slate.

Busy day on my end so I don't have time to get in-depth on these bets, but here's who I'm taking on the ML today if you still want to do a little betting:

Sun over Aces

Lynx over Mystics

Mercury over Dream

Storm over Fever

There are actually some really interesting matchups today. I only feel really confident about Storm over Fever. The others are all close...and start early!
