Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks and betting picks for 6/5/22. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel and today's best bets.

The entire WNBA is in action on Sunday. These are always the most fun slates, because we end up with a whole lot more choices than we usually have. But it's also tough, because there's even more pressure in GPPs to be both different and correct.

I'll be providing daily fantasy lineup picks for the WNBA this season here at RotoBaller. In addition, I'll be sprinkling in some basic betting picks. Not going to get complicated since there's limited space in this piece, but I'll throw you a bet or two each day that I like and, because I think this is important, that I'll be making myself.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/5/22. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slate locks on 6/5/2022 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Forwards

Sylvia Fowles (Minnesota Lynx) - @ NY - DK: $11,100, FD: $8,500

In her last game against New York, Fowles had 14 points and 14 rebounds, shooting 6-for-12 from the field. She hasn't shot under 50% from the floor yet this season and takes on a New York team that's been playing better, but is still lacking some versatility up front. Han Xu is tall. Stef Dolson is strong. But to stop Fowles, you kind of need Han Xu to have Dolson's strength.

Emma Meesseman (Chicago Sky) - vs WAS - DK: $8,300, FD: $6,000

Think there's some nice value here, especially when we factor in..

THE REVENGE GAME FACTOR

...

Meesseman had 11 points, four rebound, one block and two steals in her first meeting with Washington this season, but should be positioned for more success on Sunday, as Washington is without Elena Delle Donne, which should make things easier on the Chicago frontcourt on both ends of the floor. Meesseman is shooting 51.9% from the floor this year, but her three-point shot is off for the second year in a row. Washington ranks mid-pack in three-point defense, so maybe this is the night that we get Threesseman back.

Shakira Austin (Washington Mystics) - @ CHI - DK: $7,600, FD: $5,700

With Delle Donne out, Austin will see an uptick in usage. She also has already played well in her first meeting with Chicago, with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Her numbers have been down since, but I'd expect to see another game with 20-plus minutes for Austin, who has averaged 13.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in games where she played between 20 and 29 minutes.

 

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Guards

Skylar Diggins-Smith (Phoenix Mercury) - vs LA - DK: $9,500, FD: $7,800

SDS has been the bright spot in Phoenix. She's averaging 17.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game, plus 1.6 steals. While Diana Taurasi has struggled, Diggins-Smith has taken up the slack and is thriving. She had 22 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals against Connecticut last time out. She had 28 points last time she faced the Sparks, her season high. LA allows the second-most points and fourth-most assists per game in the W. Big game from SDS is incoming.

Chelsea Gray (Las Vegas Aces) -vs DAL - DK: $8,300, FD: $6,000

With Jackie Young out, you could be risky and use Kierstan Bell as a punt play, but I'm just not sure if that's worth it. Instead, I'm going t0 go heavy on Chelsea Gray, as she should see an uptick in her usage on Sunday with Young out.

Overall, Gray is averaging 12.4 points, 5.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game. With Young out, I expect the ball in Gray's hands more often on Sunday against the Wings. Young is averaging 19.2 points per game this year—Gray should be able to get close to that on Sunday.

(Kelsey Plum is an obvious chalk play with Young out—which is why I pivoted to Gray to be a little different.)

Crystal Dangerfield (New York Liberty) - vs MIN - DK: $5,400, FD: $4,400

Dangerfield's shot has been really, really off. Since joining the team, she hasn't made more than one shot in a game, going 0-for-2, 1-for-7, 1-for-5, 1-for-4 and then 1-for-5 last game. But because the Liberty really need point guard help, Dangerfield is playing heavy minutes in spite of that and has been contributing rebounds and assists. The Lynx allow the third-highest field goal percentage in the W, so maybe this is the night that Dangerfield finally breaks out of that shooting slump.
