Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks and betting picks for 6/19/22. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel and today's best bets.

Busy day of WNBA action on Sunday as 10 of the league's 12 teams are in action. The action gets going early with the Storm taking on the Liberty, while the highlight of the day is the Sun and the Mystics.

I'll be providing daily fantasy lineup picks for the WNBA this season here at RotoBaller. In addition, I'll be sprinkling in some basic betting picks. Not going to get complicated since there's limited space in this piece, but I'll throw you a bet or two each day that I like and because I think this is important, that I'll be making myself.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/19/22. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slate locks on 6/19/2022 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Forwards

Jonquel Jones (Connecticut Sun) - @ WAS - DK: $10,200, FD: $9,000

The hot streak for Jones continued last time out, as she had 17 points and 13 rebounds against the Storm. Washington held her to nine points the last time these teams played, but she only took three shots in that game. It was a different time when the Sun were weirdly going away from Jones. Her shot attempts are up since. The Mystics have the best scoring defense in the W, but I just love her ceiling. You could also get the similarly-priced Emma Meesseman against the Fever.

Kayla Thornton (Dallas Wings) - vs LA - DK: $7,300, FD: $5,400

Satou Sabally is out again with a knee injury, which will leave Thornton with a large role again. She's had double-digit rebounds in three of the last five games, plus has six assists in her last two games. She's coming off an interesting stat line where her shot wasn't working (four points on 2-for-6 shooting) but she still had three blocks to make her day look better. The Sparks allow the second-most points per game.

Azura Stevens (Chicago Sky) - @IND - DK: $4,700, FD: $4,000

I'm always an advocate of targeting a player against the Fever any chance I get because Indiana allows the most points, fourth-most rebounds, and the highest field goal percentage in the WNBA.

There are a lot of ways to accomplish this goal today against the high-powered Sky offense. But my favorite way is to bet on one of the cheaper Sky players and hope the matchup here pays off for her.

Stevens has had uneven production this season but played 32 minutes last game, going 5-f0r-13 from the field and 3-for-5 from deep with 15 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three blocks. With Candace Parker listed as doubtful with a knee injury for this game, Stevens should see heavy minutes and some good usage again.

 

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Guards

Kelsey Plum (Las Vegas Aces) - vs MIN - DK: $10,500, FD: $6,900

Perfect storm here. Plum has been incredible this season. The Lynx allow the fourth-most points per game in the W. Should lead to a huge game for Plum, right?

This is where I caution you that she shot 4-for-16 in the first meeting with the Lynx, her worst shooting night this season by far. But that one-game blip isn't going to scare me off of her. Not when she's shooting 42.9% for the year and is averaging 20.1 points and 5.9 assists per game and is taking on a Lynx squad that allows the most assists per game.

Marine Johannes (New York Liberty) - vs SEA - DK: $8,200, FD: $5,500

After joining the Liberty midseason, Johannes has already worked her way into the starting lineup. In her first game as a starter, she played 36 minutes, scoring just four points on 1-for-7 shooting but adding four rebounds, seven assists, one block, and one steal. She's shot over 50% from the floor in two of her three games this year and should bounce back on Sunday, especially when you remember that Rebecca Allen being out should mean another 30-plus minute outing for her.

Sue Bird (Seattle Storm) - @ NY  - DK: $7,600, FD: $5,400

Bird announced her retirement last week and now heads to New York for what will be, barring a playoff meeting, her last game in her hometown of New York City.

Sue has been consistently putting up solid numbers this season. Not spectacular, but she rarely gets under 20 fantasy points, giving her a solid floor. She's also coming off of a great scoring game, with 14 points on 5-for-11 shooting against Connecticut.
