WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks, Best Bets (5/28/23): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 5/28/23. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel and today's best bets.

It's Memorial Day! It's also my wedding anniversary, so I'll keep today's WNBA picks article on the shorter side. I've got a lot to do today between the holiday, the anniversary, and the fact that it's also the biggest day in motorsports. There's F1 at Monaco, then the Indianapolis 500, and then NASCAR's longest race.

If you're looking for WNBA daily fantasy picks and some betting advice this season, then you're in the right place. I'll be here providing picks for any slate with two or more games, as well as adding a little betting advice as well.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 5/28/2023 at 3:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Picks: Forward

Natasha Howard (Dallas Wings) - @ CHI - DK: $10,500, FD: $8,800

The Wings have a depth problem, which is why Natasha Howard has barely left the floor. She played 34 minutes in the opener and then 39 minutes last game against Seattle.

In the Storm game, Howard scored 16 points on 7-for-17 shooting with nine rebounds, one assist, four blocks, and five steals. She's the anchor for a really solid Wings defense and should continue to rack up the rebounds, blocks, and steals. While her scoring hasn't been super efficient, her volume has made up for that.

Aliyah Boston (Indiana Fever) - @ ATL - DK: $8,900, FD: $7,400

Great start to Boston's WNBA career. Indiana hasn't managed a win yet, but Boston has scored 15 points in both contests so far and just missed out on a double-double in the opener with nine boards. She's also recorded three blocks and two steals through two games.

I expect the Fever to run things through Boston, especially in a game like this where the Dream frontcourt just isn't as good as the Dream backcourt. I have a feeling we see the first double-double of Boston's professional career today.

Napheesa Collier (Minnesota Lynx) - @ LV - DK: $8,800, FD: $7,900

I mean...she's still underpriced on DraftKings, so I'll keep recommending Collier. Maybe once she's at $9,500 or more, she won't be an automatic play. But at this point, she still is (If you want a FanDuel pivot since she's priced correctly there, you could look at Chicago's Elizabeth Williams for $6,800 -- with some key Sky players out, she should have a good game).

Anyways, Collier is averaging 15.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game this season. She was quiet last game, going just 3-for-9 from the floor, but she added seven rebounds, four assists, one block, and two steals to help her end up with a solid fantasy line despite the scoring issues.

WNBA DFS Picks: Guard

Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream) - vs. IND - DK: $9,500, FD: $7,700

Atlanta's big offseason acquisition, Allisha Gray, has already made a quick impact for the Dream. Her shot was off in the team's opener, but she responded with a huge second game, going 8-for-17 with 26 points as well as 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and one steal.

It's just two games, but it seems that the way the Rhyne Howard/Allisha Gray pairing is working is that one takes over each night. If that's the case, then I really like Gray as a cheaper pivot on DraftKings off of Howard, even if Howard is likely to have the higher ceiling most of the time. Over on FanDuel, Gray is actually $100 more than Howard right now, so it's really more of a toss-up there between which to play.

Tiffany Mitchell (Minnesota Lynx) - @ LV - DK: $6,800, FD: $4,900

The Lynx have a big issue, which is that they don't have a point guard. They've been playing various players out of position at the point. Last game it was Tiffany Mitchell's turn, as she got her first start of the season.

In 31 minutes of play, Mitchell had 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting and added two rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Solid showing for her. If she gets the start again, then she's a really intriguing value option.

Dana Evans (Chicago Sky) - vs. DAL - DK: $5,500, FD: $4,600

The Sky enter this game with some players out. The most important one when it comes to distributing backcourt minutes? Rebekah Gardner, who will miss this game with a foot injury.

I think that that opens up chances for Dana Evans, whose minutes have been all over the place this season. She's scored in double figures in two consecutive games though, and has averaged 4.5 assists over those two contests as well. This projects to be a solid showing for Evans, though it'd be nice if she figured out her three-point shot as she's just 2-for-13 from deep this season.

WNBA Bet of the Day

Every day, I'll provide my favorite bet. I'll be using DraftKings Sportsbook for the odds.

Season Record: 2-3

Sun/Liberty went as I expected. Connecticut played well in the first half and actually led at the half, so cash that Sun +4 first-half bet. But New York turned it on in the second half and won 81-65, so hopefully you took my other advice and didn't bet the Sun side of the full game spread.

No WNBA Bets Today

The book I use for this has no game bets up yet for today, so...sorry, y'all! Looks like we take a break from betting.

I'll give you an Indianapolis 500 bet just for fun, though: Will Power at +1600 to win. Indy's kind of a crapshoot, but Power was the 2018 winner here. While he hasn't had the same speed this year that he had last season, I just think there's no real point in betting the favorites in a race like this because it's so hard to predict things. (Note: this bet won't go on my season record since it isn't WNBA-related.)
