WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (6/21/19): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 6/21/19. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

Happy Friday! We've got three games for you to night in the W, and while a matchup between this year's Dream team and this year's Sun team might have sounded fun before the year started, it's bound to be a rough one for Atlanta. But we'll have offensive fireworks in Indiana/Chicago, plus an exciting nightcap between the Sparks and Storm.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/21/19. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards

Courtney Vandersloot (G, Chicago Sky) – vs Indiana Fever (DK: $10,100, FD: $7,700)

Some conflicting thoughts here. Vandersloot's been playing some exceptional basketball, including shredding New York for 25 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. She's had 30 or more DraftKings points in three of her last four games, but the one she didn't? Well, it was against the Fever.

Indiana held Vandersloot to nine points on 4-for-16 shooting when they met on June 15th, but overall Indiana still allows the fourth-most points per game in the league. They also allow the third-most assists, something that should work out well for Vandersloot, who leads the WNBA in assists and sits alone atop the list of the league's best passers. She's the most expensive guard on both platforms, but she should carry a significant load in this one.

Betnijah Laney (G, Indiana Fever) – @ Chicago Sky (DK: $6,000, FD: $5,700)

Laney's been on a hot streak lately, but her pricing on DraftKings doesn't reflect that as well as her FanDuel pricing does. Laney's shown herself to be capable of putting in some buckets for the Fever, especially from behind the arc, and of being a very good rebounder for her position. She's also recorded at least one steal in every game this year, and in five of those she's gotten multiple steals. She's also had games this year where her defensive efforts and have given her a boost in terms of fantasy scoring even without her actually hitting many baskets. Against a Sky team that allows the third-most points and fourth-most steals per game, Laney's an intriguing option.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Jonquel Jones (F, Connecticut Sun) – vs Atlanta Dream (DK: $11,200, FD: $8,500)

Connecticut is at home against an Atlanta Dream squad that allows the fifth-most points per game, the fourth-most blocks, the most rebounds...look, there's just a litany of things here that suggest Atlanta is not good this year, and that they're especially at threat to be exploited by one of the league's most dominant bigs. Jones' worst game on DraftKings is 36 points. Her worst on FanDuel is 34.4. At this point, no one has the high floor that Jones has, and in this meeting that ceiling is through the roof too. She had 17 points, 13 rebounds, and five blocks the first time these teams met.

Teaira McCowan (F, Indiana Pacers) – @ Chicago Sky (DK: $6,200, FD: $5,300)

The caveat here is that you have to make sure Natalie Achonwa (calf) is out before you put McCowan in your lineups, but if McCowan starts again...well, let's look at the numbers from her first career start. Granted, she played the sieve that is the Atlanta interior defenses, but McCowan finished with 14 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks in 23 minutes. She wasn't quite as effective in her bench minutes against the Sky the last time these teams met, finishing with eight points and four boards, but Wednesday's game showed just how dominant McCowan can be in extended minutes. Play her if she gets the start.
