Will The Patriots Sign DeAndre Hopkins? Is Hopkins A Good Fit For The Patriots? Fantasy Football Outlook

deandre hopkins fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

Will the Patriots sign DeAndre Hopkins? Is Hopkins a good fit for the Patriots? What is the 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook of the Free Agent wide receiver?

Free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been linked with multiple teams after being released by the Arizona Cardinals in May. One of the teams that is heavily interested in Hopkins is the New England Patriots. The 31-year-old wide receiver has made visits to the Tennessee Titans and the Patriots so far, and according to reports, both visits were quite positive.

Both the Patriots and the Titans need improvement in their wide receiver room, and Hopkins would certainly be an ideal fit for both teams. Currently, the Patriots hold a slight edge over other teams in pursuit of the former Cardinals receiver.

In this article, we will talk about whether Hopkins is the right player for the Patriots and what fantasy impact he could have with them in 2023.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

DeAndre Hopkins will unlock Mac Jones' potential

Mac Jones, the Patriots quarterback, had a great rookie season, but he regressed in his second year in the NFL. It was largely due to the failure of the franchise in replacing Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator, as well as the lack of weapons to work with.

The addition of a player like Hopkins will help Jones realize his full potential and provide the franchise with a better understanding of whether they have the right quarterback. Hopkins has had a fantastic NFL career thus far, and playing in a stable organization like the Patriots with a great head coach like Bill Belichick would help him perform even better.

Due to the mutual interest, the likelihood of him signing with the Patriots is quite high. The six-time Super Bowl champions require a player of his caliber to contend in a stacked AFC East division.

DeAndre Hopkins could have a monster season with the Patriots

The Patriots made some smart moves in the offseason by signing the likes of JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mike Gesicki. They also drafted Kayshon Boutte, and the addition of DeAndre Hopkins could make their offense quite great.

If Hopkins ends up singing with the Patriots, he could possibly have a monster season and collect a lot of points for fantasy managers. He will undoubtedly become the go-to guy for Jones, and other players on the roster will compliment him as well under new OC Bill O'Brien. However, the star receiver will be required to stay healthy, as he has missed 15 games in the last two seasons due to injuries and suspensions.
