Wide Receiver Matchups to Target on Divisional Weekend - Terry McLaurin, Xavier Worthy, Keon Coleman

Xavier Worthy - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Dan's favorite WR vs. CB matchups to exploit for Divisional Weekend 2024-25 -- DFS wide receivers to target on DraftKings and FanDuel. These WR/CB matchups are GPP and cash game opportunities.

Welcome to WR Matchups to Target for Divisional Weekend. This week’s four-game slate promises to be a good one, with four offenses and four defenses ranking in the top six in DVOA. Two of these games have totals of over 51 points.

Each week, we will use matchup data from PFF to determine wide receivers to target based on who they will be primarily lining up against that week. These are players more likely to return a 3x multiplier on their DraftKings salary, a benchmark for consistently winning DFS cash games. We hit this multiplier on 34% of our picks this season.

Below are five of the top WR vs. CB matchups for this week’s full slate of playoff games. Use these to set season-long lineups, make player-prop picks, and gain an edge in DFS.

Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders

$6.3K on DraftKings, $7.6K on FanDuel; vs. Terrion Arnold

McLaurin enjoyed the best season of his career this year with rookie QB Jayden Daniels at the helm. He excelled in both air yards (fourth most of any receiver this season) and touchdowns scored (second most) on his way to WR4 status.

He has been impressively consistent as the season has worn on, scoring 17 or more fantasy points in six of his last seven games, topping 20 points in five of them. He has at least one red-zone target in six straight games.

His matchup against the Lions this week has the highest total of the weekend (55-point over/under). As 9.5-point underdogs, the Commanders will have a favorable passing game script that should result in a third straight double-digit-target game for their star receiver.

As the fifth-most-expensive receiver on the slate, McLaurin is an excellent pick to lead your receiving corps in DFS this weekend.

Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs

$5.2K on DraftKings, $6.3K on FanDuel; vs. Derek Stingley Jr.

The Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes have been an automatic bet on Divisional Weekend over the last six years. During that span, Mahomes is 6-0, averaging 302 passing yards and 2.7 touchdowns without a single interception.

If he is to continue his dominance in this round of the playoffs, rookie speedster Worthy is likely to play a large role both through the air and on the ground. Worthy finished his regular season with three straight games of over 19 fantasy points (excluding a restful Week 18). He scored in all three of those games while also peaking in targets and receptions.

Houston also presents a beatable matchup for the rookie, who will line up all across the formation, including in the backfield on Saturday. The Texans rank 25th in passing defense DVOA. They gave up the second-most touchdowns to wide receivers this year while also allowing the second-highest average depth of target.

Worthy is an excellent bet for a touchdown and is a steal on DraftKings this weekend.

Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills

$4.1K on DraftKings, $5.3K on FanDuel; vs. Nate Wiggins

Rookie Keon Coleman is my favorite dart-throw pick of the weekend. He enters this weekend as the Bills’ second-leading receiver behind Khalil Shakir. He has been heating up of late also, tallying 20 targets over his last three games, including a season-high 10 targets two weeks ago against the Patriots (a similar man-first team).

His matchup is what makes him stand out on this slate. The Ravens deployed man coverage at a top-10 rate this season. Coleman led the Bills this season with a 25% target rate and 1.90 yards per route run against man.

This game also has a 51.5 point over/under, with the line swinging toward the Ravens (-1) as the week has progressed. Look for Coleman to make at least one big play on Sunday, likely enough to top his 24.5-yard prop as well.
