Wide Receiver Matchups to Target in Week 14 - Calvin Ridley, Jakobi Meyers, Elijah Moore, Parker Washington

Jakobi Meyers - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Dan's favorite WR vs. CB matchups to exploit for Week 14 of 2024 - DFS wide receivers to target on DraftKings and FanDuel. These WR/CB matchups are GPP and cash game opportunities.

We’re back with more WR Matchups to Target for the last week of the fantasy football regular season. Last week’s picks yielded three top-20 finishers at the position, including two with DraftKings points-to-salary multipliers of over 4x.

Each week, we will use matchup data from PFF to determine which wide receivers to target based on who they will be primarily lining up against that week. These players are more likely to return a 3x multiplier on their DraftKings salary, a benchmark for consistently winning DFS cash games.

Below are five top WR vs. CB matchups for this week’s DFS main slate. Use these to set season-long lineups, make player-prop picks, and gain an edge in DFS. Let's get to it.

George Pickens, Pittsburgh Steelers

INJURY UPDATE: Pickens has been ruled OUT with a hamstring injury. Calvin Austin III ($3.3k on DraftKings, $5.5k on FanDuel) is in a great position to benefit from the Pickens injury.

$6.8k on DraftKings, $7.5k on FanDuel; vs. Martin Emerson

Pickens has come on strong in the second half of the season with QB Russell Wilson under center, tallying two top-5 performances since Week 8. He is WR17 in full point PPR heading into Week 14.

The 23-year-old Steelers star receiver has a plum matchup against the Browns this week, who have been bottom-five in the NFL in schedule-adjusted fantasy points to receivers over their last five. Meanwhile, Pickens has only fallen below 74 receiving yards once with Wilson at quarterback (the Week 12 snow game in which he still garnered seven targets).

Cleveland ranks 27th in passing defense DVOA after having just given up 105 yards and a touchdown to Marvin Mims Jr. last week. They deploy man coverage at a top-4 rate, against which Pickens has an alarming 31.2% target rate.

Pickens is a threat to score 20+ fantasy points any week and is an especially good bet to do so in Week 14 in this divisional matchup.

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans

$5.7k on DraftKings, $6.3k on FanDuel; vs. Ronald Darby

“Ain’t no mountain high, ain’t no valley low” that Ridley has not touched this year. He has three 22+ PPR point games coupled with three finishes of 1.2 points or less in 2024. He sits at WR28 for the season despite leading the league in air yards.

His unrealized air yards (905) and fantasy points under expected (-4.83) per PlayerProfiler show he is poised for another boom game with the right matchup. He gets just that on Sunday against the Jaguars, who rank dead last in passing defense DVOA, 29th in fantasy points given up to receivers, and are PFF’s 8th-best WR matchup.

Ridley will like up predominantly opposite CB Ronald Darby. FantasyPoints gives Ridley the best individual matchup score of any receiver this week. The Jags play man coverage at a top-three rate but are bottom-two in some major defensive categories while in man, including completion rate allowed, defensive successes rate, and yards allowed per coverage snap.

Ridley has a 27.9% target rate and scores 0.5 fantasy points per route run against man coverage. Ridley is an excellent cash game play this week.

Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders

$5.6k on DraftKings, $6.7k on FanDuel; vs. Zyon McCollum

Meyers has been the unquestioned leader of the Raiders receiving room since Davante Adams left earlier this year, ranking 15th at the position in receptions and 19th in fantasy points per game. The 28-year-old has 11+ targets and 97+ yards in three of his last four.

Meyers and the Raiders have a matchup with the Buccaneers next. The Buccs have allowed the 4th most schedule-adjusted points to WRs over the last five games while ranking 25th in passing defense DVOA.

Meyers is in great hands with Aidan O’Connell back under center. Last week AOC dealt to the tune of 340 passing yards and two touchdowns against the Chiefs’ eighth-ranked defense.

The undrafted receiver is a great bet to surpass 17 DraftKings points and return home run value in DFS.

Elijah Moore, Cleveland Browns

$4.8k on DraftKings, $5.6k on FanDuel; vs. Beanie Bishop

The Jameis Winston effect has reached Cleveland and it has been a welcomed improvement for receivers Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore. Since Winston took over fully in Week 8, Moore has three top-22 games with finishes of 16.5+ full PPR points in five contests. If he can do that again in Week 14, he will produce another home run week in DFS.

The Browns travel to Pittsburgh on Sunday. Despite a defense that ranks top-six in yards allowed, the Steelers are the top matchup for fantasy receivers this week according to PFF’s strength of schedule metric. Pittsburgh deploys man coverage at a top-6 rate. Moore has a 24.4% target rate and 0.33 fantasy points per route run against man.

The 24-year-old has eight or more targets in four of his last five games. Those looking for a lower ownership play with a high floor are in a great spot with Moore this week.

Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars

$4.4k on DraftKings, $5.8k on FanDuel; vs. Jarvis Brownlee

Jacksonville has been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this year. One of the few bright spots has been the team’s young receivers - Brian Thomas Jr. has looked like a star in the making, while second-year receiver Parker Washington turned heads last week with a 12-target, 103-yard game.

Washington has only played 80% or more of the offensive snaps twice this season (Weeks 9 and 13). He has averaged 9 targets, 4.5 catches, and 72 receiving yards in those games.

On a team without much to play for, Washington will likely continue to get opportunities over WR Gabe Davis. The Jags face off against the Titans this week. Since Week 8, the Titans have allowed the sixth-most PPR points per target to perimeter receivers. Washington is a low-ownership dart throw for tournament contests.
