Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 13:
Troy Franklin, WR, Denver Broncos
The 9-2 Broncos come out of their bye week with a Sunday Night Football matchup against the Commanders in Week 13, and then they face the Raicers in Week 14. Both of those teams have been top-five matchups for receivers, making Franklin a great scoop and start option if you need to add a WR3 or flex play from the waiver wires.
His great matchup against the Raiders in Week 14 also makes him a strong option if you have starting receivers who are part of the last round of bye weeks and can use him as a ready replacement.
Jaylen Warren, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
This marked the second straight week in which Gainwell outproduced Warren for fantasy purposes, though it's important to remember that Warren suffered an ankle injury in Week 11. It will be interesting to see how the two backs are deployed on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, who have struggled to stop the run all season.
Being another week removed from the injury should only benefit Warren, so fantasy managers have no reason to panic just yet.
Chris Olave, WR, New Orleans Saints
Friday will be an important day for fantasy managers to monitor the 25-year-old wideout's status for Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins.
If Olave were to miss Sunday's game, tight end Juwan Johnson and wide receiver Devaughn Vele figure to see more opportunities, with Johnson likely to rank as a borderline TE1 for Week 13.
Brian Thomas, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
The second-year wideout is expected to return in Week 13 against the Titans, and will hope to finish the season strong after a disappointing first eight games.
Thomas has just 30 receptions for 420 yards on 60 targets with two total touchdowns as he's struggled mightily with drops, tying Jerry Jeudy for the league lead with nine. Thomas will project as a WR3 in Week 13 against the Titans, assuming he is able to return.
Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots
During that stretch, Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson made his case to lead the team's backfield by averaging over 100 yards from scrimmage per game and scoring five touchdowns. In Stevenson's first game back in the lineup in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Henderson remained New England's feature back. Stevenson struggled to just 10 scrimmage yards on seven touches, while Henderson logged 81 yards from scrimmage on 21 touches.
The Patriots may just be bringing Stevenson along slowly in his return from injury, but it's also quite possible that the 27-year-old will be limited to backup running back duties for the rest of 2025. Stevenson should be avoided by fantasy managers in Week 13, even in a favorable matchup against the New York Giants.
