Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football waiver wire outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider adding off waivers in Week 12:
Chris Rodriguez Jr., RB, Washington Commanders
Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. rushed for 79 yards on 15 carries during Sunday's Week 11 loss against the Miami Dolphins in Madrid. He also converted his lone target into a six-yard reception.
Washington has operated out of a backfield committee for most of this season, but it now appears that Rodriguez has taken over as the team's lead back. Not only did he have more carries than Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols combined, but he also had more yards per carry than each of them.
Rodriguez is now averaging 9.9 fantasy points (full-PPR) over his last three games, and he handled a season-high 44.8 percent snap share on Sunday morning. Fantasy managers should view Rodriguez as a high-end RB3/flex on the other side of his Week 12 bye.
Xavier Legette, WR, Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette caught four of his eight targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in a 30-27 overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons. Legette bounced back with one of his best performances of the season after going catchless last week against the Saints.
The 2024 first-round pick hasn't been very involved in recent weeks, with Carolina leaning more run-heavy and not having much pass volume, but finished second on the team in receiving in Week 11, with Bryce Young throwing for a career high 448 yards on 45 attempts.
The 24-year-old wideout is trying to put together a breakout campaign in 2025. He will look to build on this performance and find week-to-week consistency to become fantasy relevant.
Jalen Coker, WR, Carolina Panthers
Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said on Monday that wide receiver Chris Godwin (leg) will be worked in more in practice this week and will be re-evaluated at the end of the week, according to the Pewter Report. Is it possible that Godwin will be ready to play in Week 12 versus the Los Angeles Rams?
Potentially, but the Bucs will make that determination later in the week, depending on how much the 29-year-old can do and how he responds to more physical activity. He didn't make his 2025 debut until Week 4 following a season-ending ankle dislocation in Week 7 of last year, and then he injured his fibula in Week 5 of this year.
Godwin should have a big role in Tampa's passing attack when he's cleared to return, next to rookies Emeka Egbuka and Tez Johnson, but the team is taking a cautious approach. Don't be surprised if Godwin misses another week.
Jayden Higgins, WR, Houston Texans
