Fantasy Football Drop Candidates
Read about fantasy football players to consider dropping for Week 5:
Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (right knee) will undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm his diagnosis of a torn ACL, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Nabers suffered a severe knee injury while attempting to make a catch near the sideline during the first quarter of Sunday's Week 4 contest against the Los Angeles Chargers. Several NFL media insiders have already reported that the Giants fear Nabers tore his ACL, but we won't get official confirmation until Monday.
Assuming his season is over, Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton will operate as the primary receivers in Jaxson Dart's offense.
Calvin Ridley, WR, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said that wide receiver Calvin Ridley (undisclosed) was dealing with an undisclosed in-game injury on Sunday in the shutout loss to the Houston Texans and played through it, according to Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com.
Ridley had played at least 86% of the offensive snaps through the first three weeks, but he played a season-low 54% of the snaps on Sunday because he wasn't 100% healthy. The 30-year-old veteran continued to be a disappointment for his fantasy managers, catching two of his three targets for 30 yards and no touchdowns.
He has failed to exceed 30 yards in three of four games so far in 2025 and has caught just 10 passes for 141 yards and no scores on 24 targets so far this year. Ridley has not been efficient with rookie quarterback Cameron Ward and the rest of the Titans' offense has been struggling, and now he could be in danger of missing Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Kaleb Johnson, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
However, Johnson remained stuck behind veteran back Kenneth Gainwell, who logged 134 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 25 total touches against the Minnesota Vikings. Johnson had just six carries for 22 yards, and has recorded just eight carries for 21 yards on the season. Pittsburgh has a bye in Week 5, and Warren may be ready to return in Week 6 for the Steelers' matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
Even if Warren remains out, there's little reason to think Johnson would be set to jump Gainwell on the running back depth chart in Pittsburgh. The 22-year-old rookie maintains fantasy appeal in dynasty leagues, but he's tough to roster with any confidence in redraft formats.
Cooper Kupp, WR, Seattle Seahawks:
6.6 Fantasy Points (PPR) in Week 4
Geno Smith, QB, Las Vegas Raiders:
12.78 Fantasy Points in Week 4
Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders:
4.2 Fantasy Points (PPR) in Week 4
Daniel Jones, QB, Indianapolis Colts:
12.38 Fantasy Points in Week 4
David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns:
3.1 Fantasy Points (PPR) in Week 4
Nick Chubb, RB, Houston Texans:
8.2 Fantasy Points (PPR) in Week 4
Dylan Sampson, RB, Cleveland Browns:
-0.2 Fantasy Points (PPR) in Week 4
Jerome Ford, RB, Cleveland Browns:
1.3 Fantasy Points (PPR) in Week 4
