Which Team Could Trade For DeAndre Hopkins? Fantasy Football Outlook

deandre hopkins fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

Will the Arizona Cardinals trade star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to another team in the 2023 offseason? Which teams could try to trade for him? Read the outlook here.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is known for three things: his long hair, his unique ability to make acrobatic catches, and perhaps most importantly, his dynamic pass-catching skills on the football field.

The man known as "D-Hop" is arguably the most talented receiver in the NFL and is now on the trade block. The Cardinals could be rebuilding, and reports state that the team is shopping the star.

Which team could trade for him? What team makes the most sense? Let's dive deep into the rumors and speculation to see if we can find an answer.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Will The Cardinals Trade DeAndre Hopkins?

The Cardinals were not a very good football team in 2022. They went into the season with high expectations and were met with extremely disappointing results. The team finished last in the NFC West with a 4-13 record, and along the way, they lost their star quarterback, Kyler Murray, to a devastating leg injury.

Making matters worse for the organization was that their superstar wideout was suspended for the first six games of the season for violating the NFL's Performance Enhancing Drug policy. Finishing in last place, losing your QB, and starting the season without one of the best WRs on the planet isn't exactly a recipe for success.

What does all that mean for the future of the franchise? It likely means that change is coming, and it won't just be small adjustments to the roster. They already fired head coach Kliff Kingsbury back in January due to underperformance, and the next step very likely may be to reshape the roster, starting with moving their 30-year-old All-Pro receiver.

Which Team Could Acquire DeAndre Hopkins This Offseason?

If you have a player with game-changing abilities that is available for the taking, there are teams that are undoubtedly going to line up for his services. Such is the case with Hopkins, and there are clear favorites according to reports. Among the teams favored to land the superstar are the Patriots, the Cowboys, and the Ravens.

The Patriots seem like the most sensible destination, as they are in dire need of a number one option to pair with the newly-acquired JuJu Smith-Schuster. The Cowboys always seem to be in on the big names, and pairing D-Hop with CeeDee Lamb would make for a really scary offense in Dallas. Then there's a team that's desperate for a WR of any kind, the Ravens, but they seem like the least likely fit as they may be losing their star QB, Lamar Jackson, this offseason.

If a player like Hopkins is moved to another team in 2023, it will drastically change the landscape of not only the NFL but of the fantasy football world. He is not only a playmaker, but he is a target machine who fills up the stat sheet, and an elite talent that commands attention from every defense he faces. All signs point towards a new home for the prolific talent, the only question is where.
