Where are Mike Evans and Davante Adams on the All-Time Receiving Touchdowns List? Will They Crack the Top 10?

Davante Adams - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks - icon rotoballer

How many receiving touchdowns do Mike Evans and Davante Adams have? Can they reach the top ten during the 2024 NFL season? How much do they need to enter that list?

Davante Adams and Mike Evans are among the NFL's best active wide receivers. Evans is coming off his tenth consecutive 1,000-yard season and is looking to tie Jerry Rice for most 1,000-yard seasons in a row.

Meanwhile, Adams has four consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns, including a career-high 1,553 yards in 2021. The All-Pro wideout from Fresno State has at least 100 receptions in five of the last six NFL seasons.

Though Evans and Adams are top-tier wide receivers, how do they fare compared to the other NFL greats who have played the same position? Do they have enough time to reach the top ten in career-receiving touchdowns?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

How Many Receiving Touchdowns Does Mike Evans Have?

As of the 2023 season, Evans has 94 regular-season touchdowns. He had 13 receiving scores last year, the third double-digit total over the previous four seasons. In addition to those scoring grabs, his 1,255 yards in 2023 earned him a Second-Team All-Pro selection.

Evans has been a model of consistency for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite the quarterback changes he's dealt with since entering the league in 2014, he makes catches and puts points on the board. While he has remained with the Buccaneers, he caught passes from Josh McCown, Mike Glennon, Jameis Winston, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tom Brady, and Baker Mayfield.

How Many Receiving Touchdowns Does Davante Adams Have?

Adams has 95 career touchdowns, one more than Evans. However, he only had eight touchdowns last season despite having a league-leading 14 in 2022. Likewise, his 11.1 yards per reception last year is his second-worst rate ever.

Despite having solid numbers (1,144 yards, 103 receptions) in 2023, it wasn't enough to earn him an eighth consecutive Pro Bowl selection or a fourth-consecutive First-Team All-Pro nod. Conversely, Adams had a solid finish to his campaign by collecting four of his eight touchdowns in the last four games.

Can Mike Evans and Davante Adams Reach the Top 10 in Receiving Touchdowns?

Evans and Adams don't need much to enter the top ten in receiving touchdowns. Adams' 95 touchdowns are good for 12th on the list, while Evans is one spot behind. Tim Brown and Steve Largent share the tenth spot with 100 touchdowns.

Therefore, Adams needs five touchdowns while Evans needs six to tie Brown and Largent. Barring any injury, they could easily reach that milestone this season. Only one question remains: how much can they collect before they retire?

Evans signed a two-year extension with the Buccaneers, keeping him under contract through 2025. Meanwhile, Adams' five-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders lasts until 2026. Since they've played ten NFL seasons each, dividing their receiving touchdowns by ten reveals their average scoring catches yearly.

If Evans remains consistent, he could have 112 receiving touchdowns once his current contract expires. That total puts him in eighth place, one more than Tony Gonzalez's career total. Meanwhile, Adams could have 122 touchdowns once his current contract ends, edging sixth-place Larry Fitzgerald by one touchdown.
