FanDuel, DraftKings CFB DFS Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football Advice for 9/14/19 (Early Slate)

Week 3 college football DFS lineups, sleepers and value picks for the early slate on FanDuel and DraftKings on September 14th. Target these NCAA players in CFB daily fantasy tournaments and cash games.

Welcome to Week 3 of the college football season! After two extremely fun weeks of football, this third week is looking like the best one yet. FanDuel and DraftKings have given us very different slates and while we'll be focusing on DraftKings, I'll do my best to throw in some FanDuel plays as well.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the early slate of games on FanDuel and DraftKings on 9/14/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

It's an extremely fun slate ahead of us, with more than enough offense to go around. I'll be breaking down the later slate in a different article, so make sure to keep an eye out for that as well. Let's dive into some of the top plays at each position. You can follow me on Twitter @VarneyDFS. I will be around all day to answer questions.

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks

Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State (FD $9,100 - DK $9,300)

It’s between a few guys on the expensive end of QB. You can’t go wrong with Fields or Tua, but I love the upside of Sanders. He can easily throw for 300 yards and is a a lethal dual-threat. He ran for over 100 yards in week one and 50+ last week in just two quarters of work. This Oklahoma State offense is dynamic and they’re favored by 14 points in a game with a 64 total, implying the Cowboys put up about 40 points. Four quarters of Spencer Sanders is going to be fun to watch and I expect a high-scoring affair in this one. Sanders is my favorite QB on the day and far too cheap on FanDuel.

Josh Jackson, Maryland (FD $9,100 - DK $6,600)

Josh Jackson and this Maryland offense have been impressive to say the least. After an expected win in week one, they blew out a ranked Syracuse team and now head towards an average Temple defense. Jackson has thrown for 500+ yards and seven touchdowns over the course of just two games and has looked insanely good doing so. Maryland is favored by nearly seven points in a game with a 65+ total. There will be points scored and Josh Jackson is far too cheap on DraftKings. On FD, Sanders is the play.

Also Consider: Justin Fields, K.J. Costello, Steven Montez

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Running Backs

J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State (FD $9,600 - DK $7,500)

Running back is similar to QB with a lot of solid but expensive options. J.K. Dobbins is fairly priced and my favorite back on the slate regardless of price. Ohio State has blown out both opponents thus far, but are favored by just 14 on the road in Indiana this week. Expect Ohio State to lean on Dobbins as much as they can and to give him early and often looks once they have the lead. He’s a lock for 20 touches and has the upside to get into the 30’s. The Indiana defense is better against the pass and has already given up 300 rushing yards on the season. Dobbins is a great play in all formats.

Adrian Killins Jr., UCF (FD $9,200 - DK $5,600)

UFC is favored by seven over Stanford, and they don’t have an established QB. Mack, Gabriel, and Wimbush are candidates to play and they should be keeping it on the ground to establish a lead. McRae and Killins Jr. are both great plays, but Killins is cheaper and just as involved. He’s the fastest back on the team and also gets involved heavily in the passing game. You typically think of Stanford and think of defense, but that’s not the case the last couple years. USC just dropped 45 on this team and a freshman QB sliced through the secondary. Killins Jr. is too cheap and a solid play across the board.

Also Consider: Chubba Hubbard, Kylin Hill, Vavae Malepeai, Drake Anderson

FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers

Tylan Wallace, Okalahoma State (FD $9,800 - DK $8,600)

Tylan Wallace is an incredible wide receiver and it’s between him and Jerry Jeudy at wide receiver. If you’re playing Tua, I have no issue running Jerry Jeudy and his likely 30 DK points. I just think Tylan Wallace has 200+ yard and multiple score upside upside against this porous Tulsa defense. He’s caught five TD’s in five quarters of work and has averaged over 15 DK points per quarter. Sanders and Wallace are my two favorite plays on the slate and I will likely have close to 100% of both.

Nick Westbrook, Indiana (FD $7,500 - DK $5,000)

Indiana will be playing from behind, but Vegas still has them scoring over 20 points against this Ohio State defense. Nick Westbrook is the clear number one option and I love him with Indiana playing from behind the entire game. All it takes is one long catch and his fair salary is more than paid off. He looked great in week one, but also dropped another 50 yard touchdown that would’ve put him over the top. Nick Westbrook is an extremely talented receiver and likely the only one on this team who can keep up with the talent Ohio State has at CB.

Darrell Stewart Jr., Michigan State (FD $8,800 - DK $5,800)

There’s no way I can keep this guy out of my cash games. Darrell Stewart Jr. caught 10 passes last week, with eight of them coming in the first half. He didn’t play most of the second half due to blowout, but could’ve easily had 15 catches for 200+ yards on the day. It’s tough to expect a repeat performance, but this Arizona State pass defense isn’t any good and Michigan State should lean right back on Stewart Jr. to move the ball down the field. He’s heavily trusted by Lewerke and it looked like they had amazing chemistry if you watched last week. He’s too cheap on DK and fairly priced on FanDuel.

Also Consider: Maryland WR's, Jerry Jeudy, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, Gabriel Davis, Shi Smith
