Week 14 Waiver Wire Pickups – Tight Ends (TEs) for the Playoffs

RotoBaller Chris Lacey reviews six tight end options for your fantasy football teams. Some of these players may still be available on your waiver wires, and can be solid contributors for Week 14 and the playoff push:

Week 14 Waiver Wire - Tight Ends (TEs) for the Fantasy Playoffs

Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles - Ertz was tremendous in his last game with five catches for 68 yards and two TDs. He doesn't have many receptions with just 26 on the season, but he's been good for 342 receiving yards (13.15 yards per reception). He has a great opportunity in Week 14, going up against the Detroit Lions since they allow 262.2 pass yards per game.

Ladarius GreenLadarius Green, San Diego Chargers -  Green was solid for another week with two receptions for 45 yards and one touchdown. This was the second consecutive week he's had a TD reception. Over the past three games, Green has accumulated 206 receiving yards on just nine receptions. Be aware that he faces a New York Giants defense that allows only 230.8 pass yards per game, but Green could well end up in the endzone again in Week 14.

Heath Miller, Pittsburgh Steelers - Miller was on fire in his last game with eight receptions for 86 yards. This was his third straight game with at least five receptions and 40 receiving yards. He has caught 46 passes on the season with 10.17 yards per reception. Miller might have a tough time picking up yards with the Miami Dolphins only surrendering 221.7 pass yards per game.

Rob Housler, Arizona Cardinals - Housler had a less-than-stellar performance in his last game with just three catches for 21 yards. This was a surprise considering he had at least 50 receiving yards in each of the three games leading up to Week 13. There's a decent chance that he bounces back in Week 14 against the St. Louis Rams and their middle-of-the-road pass defense.

Brandon Myers, New York Giants - Myers was decent in Week 13, catching five passes for 61 yards and one TD. This was the second consecutive game that Myers had recorded a receiving touchdown. He has 100 receiving yards and eight catches over his last two games. I expect Myers to continue his solid play against the Chargers on Sunday, because although they are they are 13th in allowing opposing tight ends to score fantasy points, they allow a lot of passing yardage, and Eli will take advantage of Myers while he can.

John Carlson, Minnesota Vikings - Carlson played well in his most recent game with four catches for 61 yards. This was the third time in his last four games that he had at least four receptions with more than 60 yards. He has 325 receiving yards (10.83 yards per reception). He could struggle this week, as he faces a stingy Baltimore Ravens defense that allows only 228.9 passing yards per game.
