Blake-Grupe-Fantasy-Football-Rankings-Draft-Sleepers-Kickers-Waiver-Wire-Pickups-icon2-rotoballer

Tony Camino breaks down all 2023 fantasy football Week 14 kickers - streamers, starts, sits, targets, avoids, and waiver wire pickups. Our Week 14 rankings and tiers for all of the NFL kickers.

The fantasy football regular season is winding down with only two weeks left. We are back with more fantasy football advice to help you set those winning lineups with our Week 14 fantasy football kicker streamer and starts. Selecting the right kicker could be the difference between winning or losing your league matchup.

Week 13 went pretty well as Brandon McManus scored 13 points, and Nick Folk had a solid eight points. Blake Grupe was a tough pick as he kicked four extra points but had zero field goal attempts. Avoiding Greg Zuerlein and Eddy Pineiro was smart, as Zuerlein finished with seven points, and Pineiro had just four.

Let’s get right to it with my kicker rankings, the top streaming options, and who to avoid for Week 14.

Kicker Streamers to Target in Week 14

All streamers in this article are rostered in under 60% of Yahoo leagues.

Matt Gay (IND) at Cincinnati Bengals (37% Rostered)

Indianapolis Colts kicker Matt Gay emerges as the top streaming option this week, securing the third-best fantasy kicker ranking with an impressive average of 9.42 points per game this year. In Week 13, the 29-year-old showcased his abilities by successfully converting all four of his field goal attempts and one extra point, resulting in an excellent 14-point output. This performance marked the sixth occasion this year that Gay has scored 10 or more points. Remarkably, he has scored fewer than seven points only three times.

Looking ahead to Week 14, the Colts are set to face the Bengals, who have allowed the 11th most points to kickers per game this season. Furthermore, Cincinnati has been particularly vulnerable over the last two weeks, conceding the second-most points to kickers. The absence of Joe Burrow has placed added pressure on the Bengals' defense, exposing vulnerabilities. Gay, who has attempted two or more field goals in eight consecutive games, benefits from the Colts' established offensive identity. With their ability to move the ball effectively, Gay is poised to deliver another productive performance.

Blake Grupe (NO) vs. Carolina Panthers (8% Rostered)

New Orleans Saints kicker Blake Grupe finds himself on this list once again, but Week 13 proved disappointing as he failed to attempt any field goals, managing only four successful extra points. This performance marked just the third time this season that the rookie kicker finished with fewer than seven points and notably the first game without any field goal attempts.

Heading into Week 14, the Saints will face the Panthers who have allowed the fifth-most points to kickers over the last four weeks. Grupe's lackluster Week 13 showing was influenced by the Saints' offense successfully scoring on all four of their red zone trips, an occurrence unlikely to become a recurring theme. The Saints have maintained a red zone success rate of just 47% this year, suggesting that Grupe is poised for a rebound in Week 14 with ample opportunities as the team looks to continue moving the ball effectively.

Jake Moody (SF) vs. Seattle Seahawks (43% Rostered)

San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody has reached double-digit scoring only once since Week 3. However, he has scored six or more points in all but three games this year. In Week 13, facing a formidable Eagles team, the rookie didn't attempt any field goals as the offense dominated, but he made all six extra points. Impressively, this marked the third instance this season where Moody finished with at least five points despite not attempting a single field goal.

Looking ahead to Week 14, the 49ers are set to take on the Seahawks, a team that has allowed the 10th-most points per game to kickers this season. While Moody may not consistently deliver massive scoring weeks, the dynamic nature of the 49ers' offense contributes to his overall consistency, allowing him to approach his projected points almost every week. Although he attempted just one field goal in the previous matchup against the Seahawks, adjustments in the second encounter should provide more field goal opportunities. As a result, Moody emerges as a viable streaming option this week.

Kickers to Avoid in Week 14

Fantasy players should always stream the kicker position. However, it’s important to avoid picking up and starting a kicker that will be a bust. Let’s see which two kickers you shouldn’t pick up off the waiver wire this week.

Greg Zuerlein (NYJ) vs. Houston Texans (8% Rostered)

New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein has been a consistent presence on this list in recent weeks, and unfortunately, his offensive situation doesn't show signs of improvement. In Week 13, the 35-year-old had a decent outing, making both of his field goal attempts for a total of seven points. This performance followed two consecutive weeks without scoring a single point, with his prior success benefiting from the controlled environment of a dome.

Looking ahead to Week 14, the Jets will face the Texans, who have been average in points allowed to kickers this year. While the Texans' home games in a dome can lead to big kicking days, the upcoming matchup in East Rutherford in December suggests less favorable weather conditions. The ongoing quarterback rotation and overall struggles of the Jets' offense make Zuerlein an unappealing streaming option. Given these factors, relying on Zuerlein in Week 14 is not advisable.

Lucas Havrisik (LAR) at Baltimore Ravens (0% Rostered)

Los Angeles Rams kicker Lucas Havrisik is coming off his most impressive performance of the season, making two of his three field goals and converting all four extra points for a 10-point fantasy day. Despite the Browns presenting a challenging matchup on paper, the absence of key players allowed the Rams to move the ball with ease. However, it's worth noting that the 24-year-old has missed at least one kick in four of his five games this season and has only made one from 50 yards or more.

Heading into Week 14, the Rams will face the Ravens, who have been average in points allowed to kickers. While the Rams' offense has demonstrated improvement in recent weeks, the upcoming matchup against the Ravens presents a formidable challenge, and Havrisik is unlikely to replicate his Week 13 performance. The combination of accuracy concerns and a tough defensive opponent makes Havrisik a risky streaming option for Week 14. Caution is advised when considering him for fantasy lineups.
