Week 11 Wide Receivers: Waiver Wire Pickups & Adds

By Jeffrey Beall (Own work) [CC-BY-SA-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Bill Dubiel analyzes Week 11 fantasy football wide receivers (WR) - waiver wire pickups, adds and sleepers for both PPR and non-PPR leagues. NFL wide receivers are a key component.

By Jeffrey Beall (Own work) [CC-BY-SA-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)], via Wikimedia CommonsA wild and crazy Week 10 provided plenty of huge performances and quite a few clunkers. We’re approaching the home stretch of the fantasy football season, and whether you’re in the thick of the playoff hunt or have already locked up a spot, you can always use some quality wide receivers.

Below I will take a look at some Week 11 wide receiver waiver wire pickups and sleepers, based on their current ownership numbers and fantasy outlooks.

Each week of the fantasy football season, I’ll also give you a bonus player to avoid (usually someone who might be a popular pickup that I disagree with).

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Fantasy Football Wide Receivers (WR) - Week 11

Jordan Matthews (PHI) - Owned in 35% of Fleaflicker leagues

Jordan Matthews is the supremely talented rookie wide receiver who has risen to the number two option in the dynamic Philadelphia passing game. Matthews has shown flashes of brilliance all season, but hasn't ever strung two great games together. With Mark Sanchez now under center for the Eagles, I imagine Matthews is going to continue seeing an uptick in usage, as he appeared to have excellent chemistry with the veteran backup in Weeks 9 and 10. Jeremy Maclin has proven that he warrants special attention, and I foresee Sanchez and Matthews capitalizing on that. Matthews is going to continue to produce in all formats, but he holds particular value for those in keeper and dynasty leagues. Don't miss the boat, hop on this exceptional rookie now and grab him off the Week 11 waiver wire.

Baller Move: Add in all leagues

Jarvis Landry (MIA) - Owned in 12% of Fleaflicker leagues

Mike Wallace is still the top threat in the Miami passing game, both talent-wise and contract-wise, but Landry has cemented himself as the number two in what is a markedly improved offense. He had another seven catches (albeit for only 53 yards) in Week 10, and is proving that he has the trust of Ryan Tannehill on a weekly basis. Landry may not find the endzone often, but the targets have been there consistently, which is all you can ask for if you’re in a deeper league. He is definitely startable in PPR formats as a WR3/FLEX, and is worth a speculative add in standard leagues if you need an injury or bye week replacement.

Baller Move: Add in all PPR leagues/monitor in standard leagues

Greg Jennings (MIN) - Owned in 27% of Fleaflicker leagues

I don’t have much faith in Teddy Bridgewater as a future star, but he has been serviceable enough lately to warrant some fantasy consideration, and Jennings has been one of the main beneficiaries. Jennings has put up double-digit efforts in each of his last three outings (in PPR scoring) and has emerged as a trusted set of hands for Bridgewater. The Vikings also have a matchup against the hilariously bad Bears defense in Week 11, which has been torched to the tune of 100+ points in the last two weeks. Bridgewater is no Brady or Rodgers, but right now a pitching machine could throw for three scores against the Chicago secondary.

Baller Move: Add in all PPR leagues/deep standard leagues

Allen Robinson (JAC) - Owned in 30% of Fleaflicker leagues

Robinson once again led the Jaguars in targets in Week 10 with 10, and I will maintain that he is the top fantasy option in the Jaguars passing game despite Cecil Shorts putting up decent numbers.  With Shorts, you’re banking on deep balls and touchdowns, whereas Robinson moves the chains and gets the higher volume of receptions. I’m aware that the Jaguars are just awful as a football team, but that means you can almost always bank on them getting some garbage time to play with, and Robinson always makes his presence felt in the 4th quarter. He’s a PPR starter, and a decent plug-and-play option in standard.

Baller Move: Add in all PPR/deep standard leagues

Update 11/11: Allen Robinson has been diagnosed with a broken foot and will miss the remainder of the season. This is a big blow to the Jaguars and to PPR owners as the rookie had been emerging. Cecil Shorts should be the main beneficiary here, and yield much bigger fantasy value especially in PPR leagues. Allen Hurns will most likely slide in as the #2 wide receiver, but remains a wait-and-see option for now except for very deep leagues.

Malcolm Floyd (SD) - Owned in 39% of Fleaflicker leagues

The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for Philip Rivers and company, as it allowed time to mentally and physically heal from the abomination that was their Week 9 loss against the Miami Dolphins. I fully expect Rivers to come out of the bye angry and ready to beat up on a hapless Oakland Raiders secondary. Malcom Floyd should benefit from this soft matchup, as I expect the Chargers to look to go deep and get ahead quickly. The counting stats are rarely there for Floyd, but I think there’s an excellent chance he gets found for a couple big plays or in the endzone.

Baller Move: Add in all PPR leagues/deep standard leagues

Wide Receiver To Avoid

John Brown (ARI) - Owned in 23% of Fleaflicker leagues

Brown had a nice game in Week 11, and as evidenced by his spectacular catch touchdown catch, he has big play ability to the moon and back. Unfortunately, his usage is nowhere near consistent enough to warrant weekly fantasy consideration. Additionally, Carson Palmer appears to have been lost for the season with a torn ACL, leaving Drew Stanton as the starter in Arizona. I’m not trusting any Cardinal wide receivers from here on out, John Brown least of all. Let someone else take a chance.

I’ll be your wide receiver authority for the 2014 season, so don’t hesitate to reach out to me @Roto_Dubs with any questions whenever.
