Week 10 Fantasy Football Rankings: Standard and PPR Leagues

By Larry Maurer [CC-BY-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)], via Wikimedia CommonsRotoBaller brings you our Week 10 fantasy football rankings, for both PPR and standard leagues, by authors Zach Wilkens (@LopsidedTrades) and Ryan Rufe (@RyanRufe) along with some Week 10 rankings analysis by Ryan Rufe. For even more Week 10 rankings analysis, be sure to check out our positional rankings going up on the site later today.

The NFL season is about 60% of the way through ladies and gents, and fantasy seasons are fast approaching do-or-die time if you're vying for the playoffs. You should be familiar with the routine by now, but just in case you weren’t sure, every week fellow RotoBaller Zach Wilkens and I will be posting our weekly fantasy football rankings and rankings analysis, based on team matchups and expected player performances for the week.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Rankings

I dreaded last week's bye-mageddon, and this one is nearly is bad.  You'll need to be pretty crafty in week 10 to account for all the star players who are on bye.  Deandre Hopkins, Andre Johnson, Arian Foster, Andrew Luck, Reggie Wayne, Trent Richardson, Ahmad Bradshaw, T.Y. Hilton, Dwayne Allen, Matt Asiata, Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell, Philip Rivers, Branden Oliver, Keenan Allen, Malcolm Floyd, Antonio Gates, Robert Griffin, Alfred Morris, Pierre Garcon, Jordan Reed and Desean Jackson are the main players who will be occupying fantasy benches this week with the Texans, Colts, Vikings, Patriots, Chargers and Redskins all on bye.

Let's dive right into the Week 10 rankings analysis, shall we? Below are RotoBaller’s Week 10 fantasy football rankings for all positions including running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Hopefully our rankings can help guide you in Week 10, and every other week of the NFL season, when setting your fantasy football lineups. Good luck RotoBallers!

Week 10 Quarterback Rankings Analysis

It's no secret that Russell Wilson has been inconsistent this season. He's placed among the highest fantasy scoring quarterbacks some weeks while others weeks have just been flat-out disappointing.  Wilson scored a season-low 10 fantasy points in Standard leagues last week, but I'm counting on him to rebound in a big way this week against the Giants.

The G-Men just got trampled by Andrew Luck and the Colts, and while I don't think Wilson will surpass Luck's 30-point output from that night, I think he's an easy bet to score in the 23-25 range. New York's once-deep secondary is now a weakness after Prince Amukamara and Walter Thurmond III were lost for the season due to injury.

Are you an Andrew Luck, Tom Brady, Philip Rivers or Robert Griffin III owner who needs a bye week replacement?  Don't sleep on Derek Carr this week, who should easily exceed 40 or possibly even 50 passing attempts as the Raiders attempt to play catch up against the Broncos. The Raiders are a pass-first team anyway, but Carr's expected volume for this week in particular makes him fantasy relevant in Week 10.

Week 10 Running Back Rankings Analysis

It looks like it's going to be a brutal week for running backs in Week 10.  It probably won't be as bad as last week, when I had to start Matt Forte (on bye) in the RotoBaller Experts league since my shallow four-man bench was already full with players on bye, but it will be difficult nonetheless.

Not only are Arian Foster, Ahmad Bradshaw and Alfred Morris on bye, but several top running backs -- Jamaal Charles, Le'Veon Bell and Mark Ingram -- have brutal match ups against some of the top run defenses in the NFL. That's why it was particularly encouraging to see Lamar Miller (shoulder), Fred Jackson (groin) and Montee Ball (groin) participate in practice for their respective clubs Wednesday. While none of those running backs are guaranteed to play this weekend, it's nice to have that potential roster flexibility if they are able to suit up.

Week 10 Wide Receiver Rankings Analysis

Fresh off a breakout 8-156-0 performance on Monday NightFootball, which was accompanied by some ridiculous video footage the next morning, rookie Odell Beckham Jr. has a nightmare match up this week at Seattle.

Richard Sherman has been shadowing top receivers as of late and could be locked on OBJ throughout the night.  Even still, I'm finding it difficult to rank OBJ lower than the 20's this week among wide receivers.  Maybe I'll drop him a bit, for now he'll settle as my WR21. Torrey Smith slots in a few spots above Beckham after finding the end zone four times over the last four weeks.

Week 10 Tight End Rankings Analysis

As a Gronk owner in the RotoBaller Experts league, I feel your pain.  No Antonio Gates, Dwayne Allen or Jordan Reed either.  As for the other tight ends, there shouldn't be too many surprises in my rankings this week.  Julius Thomas is due for a big game, and while Jimmy Graham has had trouble with the 49ers over his last two meetings against them, it's not like there are many tight ends that deserve to be ranked higher.

Check out all of RotoBaller's fantasy football rankings. Staff rankings are updated regularly for all positions and include standard formats, PPR scoring, tiered rankings and dynasty leagues.
