Will Wan'Dale Robinson play in Week 2 for fantasy football? Is Wan'Dale Robinson injured or hurt heading into Week 2 of 2025? Read the latest Wan'Dale Robinson injury report.
New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (ankle) once again proved he is a PPR machine, and generally not much more, when he caught six of his eight targets for 55 yards in his 2025 debut in a loss to the Washington Commanders.
Despite not being a very efficient receiver, Robinson continues to be heavily involved in his team's gameplan for a few reasons. The Giants don't have much receiving talent outside of Malik Nabers (back) and Robinson is pretty solid at creating separation on short routes, with a little bit of juice after the catch.
Robinson is looking to get back on track after averaging a career low 5.0 yards per target in 2024. He was targeted a whopping 140 times, but managed just 93 catches for 699 yards and three touchdown receptions. But is Robinson hurt or healthy, and will he play in Week 2?

Wan'Dale Robinson Fantasy Football Injury Update
Robinson apparently tweaked his ankle on a kickoff return in Week 1's game. Word from Jordan Ranaan, an journalist for ESPN that reports on the New York Giants, is that Robinson is "fine", but his injury designation is still present.

It's possible that he gets cleared from the injury report later in the week, but we'll have to wait and see if that happens. The fourth-year pro played just six games in 2022 due to a torn ACL and missed two contests in 2023, but played all 17 games in 2024. Still, he's no stranger to injuries.
Is Wan'Dale Robinson Playing in Week 2?
It seems that Robinson is trending toward playing, so that's good. There haven't been any indications that his injury is serious, and we haven't had official word of the particular type of injury he has, so it's safe to assume there's a good chance he's only suffering from a mild sprain or tweak.
Giants injury/absence report heading into Week 2:

The injury he has might often not even land players on injury reports. There isn't reason for great concern yet, but be sure to stay updated on all the latest injury news for Robinson if you're in a deeper league where he's actually fantasy relevant.
Wan'Dale Robinson Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 2
Robinson seems poised to reprise his role as a high-volume, low-average-depth-of-target, short-yardage wideout, often playing in the slot. According to PlayerProfiler, he played 36 of his snaps from the slot for a 69.2 percent slot rate. His slot snaps rank second in the NFL for just Week 1 games.

Robinson's smaller stature makes it easier for him to get quick separation on short routes than it is for larger players, meaning the underneath routes and short routes typically are his bread and butter, as we can clearly see from his yards per catch and yards per target metrics.
If he does play in Week 2, we should expect similar numbers. He's a low-end WR3 without a ton of upside, because he's not an effective weapon in the red zone.
