ANALYSIS: After Montee Ball’s devastating groin injury on Sunday, the Broncos backfield is open for business with multiple candidates to take over the role. Although many experts and team officials are slating Hillman to get the first crack at being the lead back, there are many who believe CJ Anderson is a much better back then Hillman. CJ had excellent numbers early in the year while spelling Montee and reportedly was only a healthy scratch on Sunday due to special teams needs and the coaching decision to roster an additional DB against the Cardinals. I would scoop up CJ with a late claim on the waiver wire if you are unable to get the top RB picks this week, or grab him off free agency if he clears. It would not surprise me if CJ goes from being inactive in Week 5, to being the lead back by Week 7, similar to the situation with Knowshon Moreno when Willis McGahee was injured a few years ago.
