Week 13 Quarterback Rankings Analysis

A new feature has been added to our weekly fantasy football rankings article. Below, you will find our fantasy football outlooks or injury news for key quarterbacks in Week 13, which gives readers a matchup preview of that player and advice on whether to start or avoid for the upcoming week. We provide outlooks for all 32 NFL teams, which can be found on our player profile pages and our fantasy football news desk.

Russell Wilson, QB, Denver Broncos
Week 13 Quarterback Rankings: 10

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson enters Week 13 as a low-end QB1 streaming option against a Houston Texans defense that has allowed 252.5 passing yards per game, the sixth-most in football through 12 weeks. The Texans have been a top-10 matchup for opposing QBs in terms of fantasy points per game as well in 2023, so Wilson certainly has an opportunity to go over 200 yards passing for what would only be the fifth time this year.

The 35-year-old isn't lighting up the scoreboard in terms of yards in his second year in Denver, but he's looked much more athletic and is taking care of the football first and foremost -- 20 touchdowns and only four interceptions. He's thrown at least one touchdown pass in all 11 games as well, and some intriguing upside on the road against Houston in Week 13.

Justin Herbert, QB, Los Angeles Chargers
Week 13 Quarterback Rankings: 11

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert will look to bounce back in a Week 13 game against the New England Patriots. Herbert faced the top-tier Baltimore Ravens defense last week and still put up a somewhat respectable 14 fantasy points, good for a QB15 finish.

Week 13 sees him take on another tough defense, but he should have much more room to work than he did in the previous game. While his upside may be a little capped compared to most weeks, Herbert remains an easy QB1 option in all formats.

Gardner Minshew, QB, Indianapolis Colts
Week 13 Quarterback Rankings: 14

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew put together a decent fantasy performance in the team's 27-20 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12. Minshew completed 24 of his 41 attempts for 251 yards and an interception, but the main catalyst behind his fantasy points came from his two-yard rushing touchdown. Minshew has only run the ball an average of two times in his nine starts this season, so it's not something fantasy managers will be able to bank on moving forward.

In addition, he also has not thrown for a touchdown in his last two starts. He now faces a fairly weak Tennessee secondary, but the Titans have still made for an average matchup against fantasy quarterbacks allowing the 16th most points to the position. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues needing a spot-starter given bye weeks can look to start Minshew as a low-ceiling QB1. Aside from that, Minshew should only be started in QB2/Superflex leagues.
