Updated Third Base Fantasy Baseball Rankings and Tiers for Drafts (2025)

Mark Vientos - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Updated 3B fantasy baseball rankings and tiers for H2H points leagues, updated for March 2025. Win your drafts with our third base points league rankings.

It's crunch time with Opening Day around the corner, and we are back with more fantasy baseball rankings to help you crush your league drafts. Time is running out for the fantasy baseball draft season. We continue our rankings series with our MLB team's fantasy baseball third base rankings and tiers for points leagues and H2H points leagues.

Third base, like first base, can taper off once the elite options are off the draft board. Fantasy managers might want to prioritize the hot corner in their upcoming baseball drafts. Jose Ramirez leads the way, while Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Austin Riley, Manny Machado, and Rafael Devers follow suit. Once the top five 3B are off the board, Mark Vientos and Junior Caminero are the fallback options and have the upside to finish in the elite tier at the position in 2025.

The 3B rankings below are specifically designed for points leagues, put together by RotoBaller's MLB points expert Nicklaus Gaut. We also have many other fantasy baseball rankings, tools, and resources to help you win in 2025, including our constantly-updated fantasy baseball points rankings for all positions. Third Base Base Rankings for Points Leagues (March)

These first base rankings are for points and head-to-head points leagues. You can also see our roto fantasy baseball rankings.

Before we get to the rankings, let's quickly review points leagues and how they differ from other formats. Typically, points leagues have different league settings and scoring formats than other fantasy baseball leagues. Different MLB stats and categories are assigned different point values, and those can vary by individual league settings. Those different point buckets are then added up over the course of a scoring period or season.

In many cases, hitters who walk more and strike out less are preferred for points leagues. Also, many league formats tend to give more weight to pitchers than normal, as they can easily accrue points through categories like Innings Pitched. These are the general frameworks that we use for our points league rankings below, and explain why they look different than more standard 5x5 roto fantasy baseball rankings.
