NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 4/26/22

Yesterday provided so much excitement…okay not really. There was only a single game last night. However, tonight, we welcome another massive slate with multiple prime matchups. I will do my best in guiding you through this thirteen-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 7:00 p.m. EST.

There are no teams playing on the second-half of a back-to-back. The Coyotes and their league second-worst 3.75 GA will travel to the high-flying Wild, while the Maple Leafs and their league second-best 3.76 GF will aim to solidify their playoff standings against the hapless Red Wings.

Vegas Odds for the Day

NHL DFS Goalies

Marc-Andre Fleury- DK $8.5K || FD $8.8K

Opponent - Arizona Coyotes

It is not an easy decision to pick a netminder tonight on such a large slate and it doesn’t help when there are multiple teams in good matchups either – Tampa Bay vs Columbus for example –. However, the Coyotes are downright awful and it is only a slight pay up to get Fleury over Vasilevskiy. The Coyotes have been averaging under 2 goals a game over their last 10 matches. They also sit at the bottom of the league with 2.41 goals for. If any netminder has a chance for a shutout tonight, it is definitely Fleury, albeit his poor save percentage as of late.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Vasilevksiy (DK $8.3K || FD $8.9K), Demko (DK $8.2K || FD $8.6K), Markstrom (DK $8K || FD $8.5K), Bobrosvky (DK $7.9K || FD $8K), Oettinger (DK $7.9K || FD $7.3K), Gibson (DK $7.4K || FD $7K), Sorokin (DK $7.3K || FD $7.8K)

NHL DFS Centers

Austin Matthews-DK $9.2K || FD $10.3K

Opponent - Detroit Red Wings

Welcome back to the Austin Matthews train. The Leafs’ pivot continues to tear the league up and he now walks into one of the best matchups all season. The Red Wings are still down Larkin for the last few games of their season, which will open the flood gates for Matthews. In Austin’s last five appearances, he has 5 assists and 21 shots. The Red Wings also possess the third-worst defense in the league and it only helps the center’s case tonight.

Steven Stamkos- DK $6.9K || FD $7.9K

Opponent - Columbus Blue Jackets

If you do not want to pay all the way up for center tonight, you can be just as happy with the production from Stammer himself. Stamkos is back centering the top-line for the Lightning again but this team between Ondrej Palat and Nikita Kucherov. Aside from his new linemates, Stamkos has posted double-digit fantasy points in his last six games, while recording 6 goals, 12 assists and 21 shots. We are seeing prime Stamkos right now and it is perfect timing for the playoffs. Play him while he is hot.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Miller (DK $7.1K || FD $8.3K), Malkin (DK $6.5K || FD $7K), Norris (DK $6.2K || FD $6.9K), Pettersson (DK $5.5K || FD $6.3K), Zegras (DK $4.5K || FD $5.7K), Gaudreau (DK $3.7K || FD $5.4K), Mercer (DK $3.6K || FD $4.2K)

NHL DFS Wings

Kevin Fiala- DK $5.9K || FD $7.5K

Opponent - Arizona Coyotes

I have said it once and I will say it again, Fiala was a steal when Minnesota acquired him and nobody knew why. Well, I think after recording 5 goals, 10 assists and 22 shots in his last five games, critics should know why. The Wild winger is scoring at an incredible rate right now and he has easily filled the void of teammate Matts Zuccarello – out with injury –. Furthermore, not only are the Coyotes terrible offensively, but they are also terrible defensively too and it makes it a prime matchup for the goal-hungry Fiala.

Brock Boeser- DK $4.1K || FD $5.8K

Opponent - Seattle Kraken

There are a lot of hard-to-pass options at the high-end of the salary range tonight and we need to find some value plays to help us spend up. Boeser is the perfect chance to spend down and save some precious salary. The Canucks winger has ridden a rollercoaster for the majority of the season, however, he seems to turn it on when linemate Elias Pettersson turns it on – cough, cough, STACK, cough, cough –. Boeser relentlessly shoots the puck and builds that shot bonus creating a decent floor. Now just hope he gets the puck bounce with the shots.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Kaprisov (DK $8K || FD $9.4K), Kucherov (DK $7.3K || FD $8.9), B. Tkachuk (DK $6K || FD $6.9K), Rakell (DK $4.9K || FD $5.5K), Mikheyev (DK $4.3K || FD $5.5K), Vatrano (DK $3.4K || FD $4.2K), Zucker (DK $3.1K || FD $4.8K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Jonas Brodin- DK $3.7K || FD $4.1K

Opponent - Arizona Coyotes

It looks like the Minnesota Wild will be down Matt Dumba and Jared Spurgeon for this matchup which leaves them with Jonas Brodin to quarterback the extremely efficient top power-play. Brodin has struggled once again this season to produce points with only 29 points in 70 appearances. However, that does not mean he doesn’t produce peripherals. Throughout the last five appearances, he has 8 shots and 7 blocked shots. This is the perfect chance to pay down and get a potential ceiling game.

Erik Brannstrom- DK $3.1K || FD $4K

Opponent - New Jersey Devils

Here I am talking about Brannstrom once again. The defender continues to lack the point production just like the last defender I highlighted above. However, Brannstrom also produces peripherals. Over his last five games, he has 7 shots and 10 blocked shots. The Devils may be down even more players and their netminder Mackenzie Blackwood will be making his first start in quite some time. This is a good matchup for Brannstrom to produce at a manageable salary.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Hedman (DK $6.8K || FD $7.3K), Dobson (DK $6K || FD $6.1K), Hughes (DK $4.8K || FD $5.6K), Dunn (DK $4K || FD $5K), Matheson (DK $3.9K || FD $4.2K), Grzelcyk (DK $3K || FD $4.3K)
