NHL DFS Analysis And Picks For 4/24/25

Tonight, we have a four-game slate, and the Battle of Florida continues on. Tonight’s slate offers value across the board, allowing for creativity when building lineups.

 I will do my best to guide you through this four-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 7:00 p.m. EST.

DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news. This becomes more important with players sitting for rest ahead of the playoffs!

NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Series Records:

  • Florida Panthers at Tampa Bay Lightning - Florida Leads 1-0
  • Toronto Maple Leafs at Ottawa Senators - Toronto Leads 2-0
  • Vegas Golden Knights at Minnesota Wild - Series is Tied 1-1
  • Winnipeg Jets at St. Louis Blues - Winnipeg Leads 2-0

DraftKings And FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Sergei Bobrovsky - DK $7.5K || FD $7.4K

Opponent - at Tampa Bay Lightning

Sergei Bobrovsky did not disappoint on Tuesday night in the 6-2 opening win in the Battle of Florida. The netminder produced a 2.00 Goals Against Average, a 0.909 Save Percentage, and a 0.02 Goals Saved Above Expected Per 60. Unfortunately, there were not as many shot attempts on net as previously projected from the Tampa Bay Lightning. This could pose more risk to Bobrovsky’s value moving forward. However, his current salary is low enough that the risk is minimal.

Bobrovsky will be leaned on heavily in what is expected to be a fireworks display in Game Two.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):

  • Anthony Stolarz (DK $7.8K || FD $7.9K) at Ottawa Senators
  • Jordan Binnington (DK $7.4K || FD $7.3K) vs. Winnipeg Jets

DraftKings And FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

John Tavares - DK $6.2K || FD $7.8K

Opponent - at Ottawa Senators

While everyone continues to pay attention to Auston Matthews (DK $9.2K || FD $8.8K) and the top line of the Toronto Maple Leafs, John Tavares and the second line are making waves. The veteran has posted two goals, two assists, seven shots, and four blocked shots through the first two games of the Ottawa series.

Despite both lines in the top six producing, the second line generates higher expected-goal chances than the first line. In Game Two, Tavares’s second line was expected to score 0.7 Goals, compared to Matthews’s first line, which was projected to score 0.3. Each line has been hard-matched through the first two games against the opposition’s corresponding first or second line, respectively. The series is heading to Ottawa now, though, and things could change, but they are not expected to. At only $6.2K on DraftKings, Tavares is projected to make another case for Player Of The Game.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Aleksander Barkov (DK $6.7K || FD $7.4K) at Tampa Bay Lightning
  • Brayden Schenn (DK $3.9K || FD $5.8K) vs. Winnipeg Jets

DraftKings And FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

Matthew Tkachuk - DK $7.7K || FD $7.8K

Opponent - at Tampa Bay Lightning

There has been a wild Tkachuk sighting amid a storm in Florida! Winger Matthew Tkachuk made a strong return to the lineup in Florida’s opening 6-2 win over Tampa Bay. The power forward had been out since February and returned with two goals, one assist, and three shots. This came as no surprise, though. In the five games prior to his lengthy injury, Tkachuk produced six goals, four assists, 28 shots, and one blocked shot.

Neither the top nor the second line of the Florida Panthers has looked ideal to start the playoffs, despite their resounding 6-2 win. However, Tkachuk was one of the only players in the top six to have an Expected Goals of 0.5 or better. In Game Two, where Lightning center Anthony Cirelli is expected to miss, Tkachuk is projected to produce another double-digit fantasy points performance.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • William Nylander (DK $7K || FD $7.5K) at Ottawa Senators
  • Pavel Dorofeyev (DK $5.8K || FD $6.6K) at Minnesota Wild

DraftKings And FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Alex Pietrangelo - DK $4.8K || FD $5.6K

Opponent - at Minnesota Wild

Alex Pietrangelo is another player from Tuesday’s article who did not disappoint. The two-way defenseman produced one assist, one shot, and three blocked shots. He now has two assists, three shots, and seven blocked shots through the first two games of the opening round.

As mentioned in Tuesday's article, Minnesota is highly inconsistent, and this inconsistency was evident on Tuesday, as they won 5-2 on the road after dropping Game One 4-2. The series now moves to Minnesota, and they are expected to get a jump start from the home crowd. Pietrangelo is projected to have another busy night blocking shots and is expected to reach value because of it.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Brock Faber (DK $4.3K || FD $5.3K) vs. Vegas Golden Knights
  • Cam Fowler (DK $3.8K || FD $5.4K) vs. Winnipeg Jets
